New around here, but not my first rodeo, so to speak. I'm a fairly seasoned roleplayer with over a decade of experience in various settings and systems, though this place is new to me.
Generally I'm here looking for long-term partners and roleplays, with a focus on character exploration and relationships. I also heavily favor the TYPE-MOON universe/Nasuverse, though it's far from the only setting I'm familiar with. I tend to prefer anime or anime-adjacent settings, themes, and storytelling conventions, though I also take inspiration from various other mediums as well.
A large part of my interest in roleplay stems from the first visual novel I read when I was younger, which as you might have guessed, was Fate/Stay Night. However, it's not the only reason - when I was younger, I was obsessed with the Lord of the Rings series (of which I still have my boxed set including The Hobbit), Warrior Cats, Percy Jackson, Guardians of Ga'Hoole, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and a whole lot more. I've always been extremely attracted to the written word, and roleplaying is my way of making my own works (given I lack the confidence to ever publish anything).
Currently, I'm earning my college degree somewhat late - majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Japanese Language. My goals in life are a bit murky at this point, but one thing I know for certain after spending two months on a research internship in Japan is that I want to try living there for a decade at the least. I've yet to choose a specialty for my major, but I am leaning towards cybersecurity for a variety of reasons.
As you might guess based on my name, yes, I do have autism, even if I don't necessarily come off that way. Time and my ability to learn and adapt have, thankfully, allowed me to mask incredibly well, though it's by no means perfect. My choice of username is a bit of a tongue-in-cheek joke in that regard. It doesn't define me, but it's part of who I am nonetheless - much as depression and anxiety are.
Roleplay is one of many things that helps me keep my admittedly chaotic mind in order - it is an outlet to express myself with others. I hope to be able to share my creativity with any and all of you, should you so choose.
