I’m not sure if it’s just me or if I’m not using this site correctly. I had posted on the forum seeking writing partners and it hasn’t been responded to. It’s been a few days and I was just wondering. Does it take longer than a few days to find the right writing partners? Or should I reveal who I’m writing as? I’m so confused and I want to make sure I’m using this site correctly.
I'm sure you've done nothing "wrong" at all, because there is not a 100% Correct Way to write an RP ad. Sometimes it just takes time! We're also going into the holiday season, so a lot of people are perhaps busier than they normally would be.
It is for sure not the fact that you've posted an ad as an anonymous character, if that's what you've done; those are easily half or more of all ads posted, and they get just as much attention as any other ad.
Without knowing exactly which ad is yours, there's a list of tips here for how to advertise on RPR that you could look over. Personally, I think the most important ones are 1) come up with a topic title beyond "looking for RP" (that's true of everyone here), and 2) throw out some more concrete ideas of your own beyond "I'm looking to write this character" (that is also true of everyone here!).
There is also the fact that sometimes, you gotta do a bit of the hunting yourself! The Find RP tool is honestly really great for that, I think. I like to browse sometimes, even when I'm not actively looking for new stories, and bookmark topics for later.

Believe me, you didn’t do anything wrong, anything. But unfortunately you will need a bit of patience to find a real good writing partner and be prepared of deceptions.
Oh I feel so sorry for your despair, this little doe has been through that too. Take a look at all the RP proposals, nobody will ever know how much or less success these ads have.
Just do your thing, your character and keep going. And it for sure takes way longer than a few days to find THE partner.
