I've read active looking for rp topics you shared but wasn't sure my characters were fit. So... I brought 2 of my characters here (profiles under construction, please be patient.
). Can bring or create other if we get an idea. Anyways, here's my 2 babies:
Lynn Mayfair: She is a modern day witch. Originally I created her in Harry Potter universe but with a little(!) Legend of the Seeker touch. She is an artist, her main focus is painting. Enchanted painting, to be specific (this is the LotS part). With some special equipment, her paintings become real. You can visit her paintings. You can live there, even. Things inside of them can also visit you. Everthing has a price ofcourse, but let's not bother yourself with it now.
She's kind of a snob. Getting along with her depends on how she sees you. But deep (very deep) inside she's a softie so, you can get her even if you're not as valuable as she wants you to be.
She comes from a wealthy family, full of artists. But she's the first one who makes the enchanted art. She found some ancient books, originally at Hogwarts' library. It can be another old wizardry library. Her first enchanted painting was full of her phobias. And when she need a help about it, it was hard to find someone who knows what they were doing. In the process of dealing with her demons that came alive, she put people around her in danger. One of them was my other character, Kim Chunyong.
Kim Chunyong: He has multiple versions but originally he is a wizard in Harry Potter universe. These were the Covid days so admins of the site I was in created a world where only witches and wizards get effected and die. And only safe place was London, thanks to Ministry of Magic. He was transferred from Mahoutokoro to Hogwarts. Lost his family to that disease. And got bullied because there were too many refugees, lived in chaos, somehow survived. He lost his bubbly charm along the way. He wanted to be an auror but the girl he wanted to marry used & cheated on him at that time and he dived deep in the depression then missed the opportunity. He'll try again eventually but now he's a burnt out detective.
Not long ago when he was after a magical serial murder case, he thrown into one of Lynn's paintings and left locked there for a week. As a consequence of staying that long, he began to transform and did things he wouldn't do. He got rescued but still haunted with memories of that week. Plus, his appearence is a little different from before and reminds him what he want to forget. He'll be normal (visuallly) again but this is his state.
What I want for them?
They both have a support system but new friends would be nice. Especially friends from work (this way we'll be able to write more)

I'm not looking for romantic partners for these two.
Lynn has a twin, an older sister and 3 more younger siblings (youngest is 4, and she's my character as well). They are CHAOS. So if you're interested in some sibling rivalry, fight etc. I'm here. It's fun.
Chunyong always has someone crushing over him so I'm open to that. Just know that he's not in the mood.

Mysteries for Chun.
Dark masterminds for Lynn, her art can be used for dark forces (she wouldn't tho)

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
Romance is expected but not required, and will be accompanied by other plot.
