Hi everyone! I'm Leena, but I'll answer to just about anything as long as it isn't insulting. I've been writing for about 17 years now, but admittedly, I've been out of the game for a while because of some IRL stuff that popped up over the past couple of years. However, I've really been wanting to get back into writing, so I'm looking for a few good partners.

So, first of all, a bit about me. I'm almost 30 (in case you couldn't guess that from how long I've been writing!) I tend to be a bit of a wordy writer, and my shortest posts are usually around 3 paragraphs. I like to write a fair bit of detail, set the scene, etc. I also tend to include multiple characters in my story, both side characters as well as multiple mains. I also have a tendency to prefer writing as female characters, especially if there ends up being romance in the story, but I do write characters of all genders. I'm not shy when it comes to more mature topics (I tend to include some dark themes in my stories) but am always happy to stick within my partner's comfort zone. Since I'm just getting back into writing I can't promise an exact time frame for replies, but I always aim for one post a week minimum, and in the past have often been able to manage more than that when I'm not busy, including multiple posts a day at times.

When it comes to partners, I'm pretty flexible, but I do have a few firm things that I am looking for. I'd like someone who can manage a minimum of one paragraph per post, and who can write more than that at times. I think it fits better with my writing style. Someone who is also comfortable writing multiple characters would also be great, so that we can develop a full cast for the story. I don't discriminate based on age as long as our writing styles seem to be compatible, but obviously I will be less likely to write darker topics with someone under the age of 18- that's just outside my comfort zone. I will also absolutely NOT include any form of romance if you are under 18. Also, if there is to be romance in the story, I'd prefer a partner who is able to write at least one male character to pair against a female lead of mine.

Okay, so now that all of the boring background stuff is out of the way comes the part you've all been waiting for- what I'm looking to write. As the title implied, I have a wide range of topics of interest, although fantasy is definitely the place where I tend to thrive the most. That said, I'm going to divide this section into three different parts. The first will be a general list of interests. Next will be a list of fandoms I am interested in (although please note that I almost never write as canon characters.) And finally, I'll include some more fleshed-out story prompts at the end.

General Interests:
  • Fantasy (Low/Mid/High)
  • Historical
  • Political Intrigue
  • Sci-Fi (preferably not too technical, though- I'm no science expert!)
  • Modern supernatural
  • Romance
  • Humor
  • Hard no's:
    • Modern slice-of-life
    • Pure romance (fine as included with another plot, but not as the main plot.)
    • Gratuitous violence/shock value (fine when it adds to the story/plot, but not for no reason.)

Fandoms:
  • Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire/House of the Dragon (not caught all the way up on this one.)
  • The Last Kingdom
  • Supernatural
  • Fourth Wing
  • Frieren
  • Solo Leveling
  • Fullmetal Alchemist
  • Fairy Tail
  • Noragami
  • How to Train Your Dragon
  • Lockwood & Co. (Books and show)
  • Ranger's Apprentice/Brotherband Chronicles

Plots:
Sins of Our Past

Seventy years ago, a band of brave heroes set out on a quest to defeat a vicious warlord from a neighboring country hell-bent on conquering the world and crushing all under his boot. Few thought they had any real chance of success, but in the end they triumphed, ushering in an era of peace- or at least, that was the goal. But in the shadows of his former domain, a new danger has arisen. A mysterious and powerful necromancer has emerged from the ruins of the fallen kingdom, and his undead swarm the borders, carrying out dark missions on his behalf. People whisper that the heroes were no heroes at all, that they simply left the world open to an even worse threat- that it would have been better if the warlord had never been defeated at all.

With most (if not all) of the heroes no longer up to the task of, well, being heroes, it has fallen to a new generation of those close to them to right the mistakes of the past, defeat the necromancer, and this time, find a way to fill the power vacuum left behind so that history won't repeat itself.

The intention is for this story to be mid- to high-fantasy. Possibility of long-lived races like elves and dwarves, hence the possisbility of one of two of the original group of heroes being around still. Main characters, though, would likely be relatives (children or nieces/nephews) or apprentices of the original party who feel responsible for fixing this situation.

What Lies Below

It was thirty years ago when the dungeons started opening up. It started with a cave-in in the middle of a city street. Then the monsters started pouring out of it. The city was decimated, and people took it as a freak accident, or maybe a punishment from some god. Until is started happening again and again, in more places. Measures has to be taken, and people developed methods of sealing them off. Groups began to form with the sole purpose of traveling into the dungeons, to research the phenomenon, cull monsters before they broke out, or plunder the riches that lay within. The world began to change, adapting to this strange new normal.

The largest dungeon, in the capital city, is controlled by a guild that formed. They are dedicated both to protecting the city and exploiting their control of dungeon access for a profit. Business includes monster culling, treasure hunting, and acting as guards for any outsiders who want to explore the dungeon themselves- and of course, there's always an entry fee. Its members make a good living, so long as they can survive the dangers of the dungeon.

In this story, the idea is that the main characters would be members of this guild, or in some way connected to them (perhaps one or two could be researchers who hire guild members to guard them as they explore the dungeon to learn more about it.) Setting is primarily intended to be mid- to high-fantasy, but could also make sense in a modern fantasy setting. Intended to be very mildly slice-of-lifey in that there isn't meant to be a bit overarching plotline, just exploring what life would look like for people in such a situation (although be default that life would involve plenty of action and fantasy elements due to the setting!)

Starry Seas

Space used to be a vast mystery, so they say. Most of the magic is gone, now that the universe is mostly explored, full of petty single-planet kings and massive empires, connected be various factions and alliances, constantly at threat of war with each other, and all held tenuously by an organization called the Starspan, a powerful but "neutral" group who established a set of rules to be followed throughout the universe, and who ruthlessly punish any kingdoms or empires who break them.

But not everyone likes to follow the rules, of course. There are factions against this universal rule. The most powerful are the Talzem, a loosely organized alliance of smaller "tribes" of space pirates, smugglers, and revolutionaries, secretly backed by various rulers who would like to see the Starspan overthrown. But when enforcers from the Starspan begin to crack down on the Talzem tribes one by one, they'll have to come up with a plan fast, or see their way of life come to a sudden and abrupt end.

This idea is very much "pirate kingdom meets outer space." The idea is underdogs fighting against a much larger power, with our characters belonging to one of these space pirate groups, fighting for their freedom from a pretty oppressive government. I have plenty of ideas for worldbuilding this one, but I don't want to make too much of it concrete before giving a partner a chance to offer input, so I'm going to leave that all available by request rather than listing it here. Also, in case anyone was wondering, this is also very much open to more of a space-fantasy vibe as well.

Ahem. Well, that's all for now, folks! I might update this if more ideas come to me, but in the meantime, if any of this caught your interest feel free to reach out to me and we can see about coming up with a story that would work for both of us!

Details: Freeform, paragraphs required, long-term RP partner preferred. Will be played one-on-one.
