Amadeus was actually quite astonished to have been granted her first name. Mercy. Indeed, almost too suitable for her profession. Another half of a chuckle escaped him when she pointed that out. "A fitting name is probably better than an ironic one," he replied, his smile growing a little. When asked of his own, he was again a tad surprised. "Oh, um. I'm Amadeus," he spoke while he went to the cooler once again, only breaking eye-contact with Mercy in a vain attempt to hide a brief blush when she reassured him that he was doing fine. To him for some reason, being told that he was 'doing fine' felt like profound praise. But, he managed to recover with a snicker and said quietly, "Actually, that makes me wonder who you usually get for volunteers."

As he passed where Virginia was currently donating, the young man made a second attempt to see what the cover of her book looked like, trying to do so without seeming nosy.
Giving out the waters he'd grabbed, he found himself by the big horse again, whose words about what seemed to be a kind of job offer had not been lost on him... nor had he forgotten the strange phrase about the furred man 'not having hands'... if that's what he had meant? "Sorry," he apologized for having walked away. "Were you serious about that offer-" Amadeus paused when he saw what the horse was looking at. The young man hesitated, looking between the pouch that had been receiving the horse's blood and Mercy. He had confidence she would know what to do, but he stood to the side... just in case?
