Rani-Shukura (played by Victoriantruth)

In the times of big piramides, mighty Pharao's and lots of chaos, there lived a girl named Rani. As the main guard in the palace and since short, protector of the Pharao's only son, she had made a name for herself in a very early age. And that showed in her family being not the poorest around. Her brother and grandma had a good life even though they still worked hard to give the people around them the same life.

Rani just came back from a short vacation. She had spend 2 weeks at home with her brother and grandma. At home she was a competely different person. Bubbly and fun, playfull and caring. But now that she was back at the palace, her sheerful face made room for her serious and alert personality. It came naturally. There wasn't anything she didn't notice and nothing that she didn't know. She had her sources ofcourse. She might come across as a stiff but all of the staff liked her and kept her informed on everything that involved the Prince.

There she stood, her arms crossed in front of her, waiting besides the princes bedroom. The palace was beautiful and full of natural light. The halls were decorated with gold and blue paintings of ocean waves. It was almost paradise like, the way the palace halls lit up. Rani knocked on the door once more. The prince was a tough one to wake up but the King had given her orders. He needed to get up earlier and needed to be active in the royal workdays, which weren't really work days but nonetheless, she knocked again.
Tresar-Ra (played by Forest)

The Egyptian prince had been enjoying Rani's vacation as much as she had. Without his persistent and stern body guard he was free to essentially do what he liked, whenever he wanted. No other staff member had the audacity to stop him or go to his father. Now that Rani was back his two week party was over. "I am up." Tres called out, annoyance clear in his voice. His servants were dressing him at the moment. Rani had surprised almost everyone by obtaining the rank she did. Women in ancient Egypt were though lesser than man. "I would say come in but you all think its obscene for a female to see me naked." Although he had already had his way with plenty of the girls. In fact more then half the female staff had taken a turn in his bed. Who would say no to sleeping with the next Pharaoh? Well besides Rani of coarse. Tres had given up trying to bed Rani, in fact the prince had given up trying to make her do anything. She was a stick in the mud when it came to most of his ideas he considered "fun."

Finally Tresar-Ra emerged from his chambers, dressed in expensive silks. His caramel eyes glanced over Rani with annoyance. "what does my father have planned for me today?" he asked without any polite introductions. He was a prince, the next in line to become Pharaoh. No one but his father out ranked him.

"Good morning to you aswell, your highness." Now Rani wasn't rude nor did she show what she really thought of the prince but she did have the special skill of being sarcastic without actually sounding sarcastic. A skill she used on the prince alot since she didn't agree with his attitude at all. His lack of responsibility made her hairs stand up and his playfulness with his position and power not only annoyed her, it made her question his fathers right mind sometimes. Ofcourse she never said any of that outloud. She respected the king too much and was greatful for the chances he had given, not only her but her father aswell.

The fact that the prince thought she was a stick in the mud, something he had told her many times over again, didn't phaze her because the prince only knew her professional side. At home she was completely different, she had friends and danced, she was fun and caring. He not knowing that gave her a sense of power. She was proud of the way she kept her personal and work life seperate.

"I have no idea of what your father has planned. You'll have to ask him that." A quick gaze over the giggling maids made her roll her eyes, then she straightened his collar and turner to lead him to his father. While walking through the palace, both of them were greated by the staff but only Rani was asked about her vacation. They joked about how the prince had been a mess without her around and she gave them a friendly chuckle.

"I'm sure its nothing important." Tres said with an indignant sigh, as if his responsibilities annoyed him to no end. As they walked he kept his head held high and moved with a princely air. After all he was the son of the Pharaoh who ruled all of Egypt. The gods had picked his father to rule and had picked him as well. He was at the top of the hierarchy, him and his father.

Tesar-Ra paid no attention to the staff and the maids. He walked silently next to Rani not even giving the staff a second look. When greeted he would simply nod. They were beneath him and he didn't have to socialize with them. The only other person besides Rani that he acknowledged on their walk through the hall way was a pretty serving girl. He glanced at him and they exchanged a look. She was extremely pretty and just Tres's type. There was no question that he had bedded her and was continuing to do so.

She had noticed aswell and she took a deep breath. Her face stayed serious and she kept looking infront of her as she started to try and talk some sense into him. "You know, you might get more respect if you didn't share your bed with every female this land has to offer. You might even learn something." Her tone suggested that she didn't really need an answer back, she just shared some tips. He could do with them what he wanted.

As she walked into the throne room, she looked down at the ground. From the moment she was in company of the pharao she knew her place, right next to him. She bowed and kept quiet as she watched him nag on his son, again. She had lost count on how many times he had given Tre a speech. It was useless, still kinda entertaining. Well, untill he would involve Rani. She hated when he did that. She was a bodyguard, not a sibling to compare his own son with. /Be more like Rani, she has responsibility and she is younger than you. You could learn a great deal from her/ She loved the praise but she hated the back lash from Tre each time that happend. Any time she felt like she made progress, got a bit closer to him. His father would mess it up. And she could start over with trying to get through to him.

Tres simply ignored her. He didn't need the respect of the staff. The generals respected him and so did his teachers. He excelled in his learning’s and had a natural talent for being strategic and creative with fighting and battle plans. He was going to make a snappy comment but held his tongue. Annoyed that Rani was back. He wished the body guard had stayed where ever she scampered off to. She made is life extremely difficult. Without her she didn't have to deal with the constant nagging from his father. He excelled beyond excellence in everything he did, with out Rani around his father over looked his conquests in bed and various other thins Tres thought to be fun.

They arrived in his father's throne room. Tres gave his respectful half bow before straightening. It didn't take long for his fathers words to becoming a speech which turned into a lecture. Of coarse the lecture was mixed with praise but just as much scolding. 'you excel but yet you waste your time with whores and parties' and the likes. Tres could recite from heart the speeches his father gave him. It was nothing new. Tres and his father both knew that he couldn't really punish Tres. His teachers and masters were his equals in learning and skill. Tres did everything he was told to do with perfection and when he was done went off and did what he liked. Rani might think that he shrugged off his responsibilities but in truth he took care of everything he had to do and moved on to having fun. It wasn't his fault that he excelled and was able to complete his tasks quickly and with ease.

Rani knew he did well in class but that wasnt the only place he needed to do well. In all honesty, she was very picky to who she gave her respect and with having lived almost her entire life under the poorest of people that was only to a few. Tre not being one of those people. But again, if she was very honest to herself, she never even tried. In the beginning she didn't get the best image of him and she decided right there and then that he wasnt worth a second chance.

She bowed for the Pharao and spoke in hushed tones. "Your highness, I would like to know what the procedure is. I heard of the problems during my time away. Would you like me to be around more?" she asked polite.

Tres glanced at Rani and held back an eye roll. Great she would be around more often, just what he needed. He planned on having fun tonight. In truth the constant drinking and love making was a way for him to drown his worry's and concerns. To forget about things for a while. Rani and Tres came from two different worlds. He didn't expect her to understand or even be aware of all of his problems and struggles and he knew he could never comprehend hers.

The Pharaoh paused in his lecture, glancing at Rani. Normally he would have fired the guard on the spot. Speaking to the Pharaoh when not spoken to. It was out of turn. But He favoured Rani and over looked the small breaks in court ways. "Yes. I want you to stick by Tresar-Ra's side. Like it or not he is the heir to the throne. The gods picked him just as they picked me. He needs to be protected at all costs." The Pharaoh knew he didn't have to tell Rani to protect Tresar-Ra with her life. He knew if it came down to it she would die to protect him, which was her job and duty.

Rani nodded and bowed again to then walk back to the side of his throne. Just as she was about to observe, one of the other guards came towards her and whispered something in her ear. Her look went from Tre to the Pharao and back to the guard. "Keep him Where you have him. I'll be there in a minute." The guard nodded and with his eyes to the ground, he bowed to both royalty and slowly walked backwards.

Rani went down on one knee and kept her eyes on the ground. "My highness, I have been informed that someone who calls himself a man of the future is requesting your attention. Would you like me to escort him out?" This wasn't the first time that people tried to con the powerful man but something seemed different about this. Normally they always tried to only give him good news, stuff they know he'd like to hear. But this man was trying to warn him of something. She didn't know what to think of it. Something told her she needed to be extra careful with this.
Tresar-Ra (played by Forest)

Tresar-Ra's father looked down at Rani for a moment, debating what to do. He had seen many crazies and a few often tried to kill him. Normally he would have had Rani escort the 'future man' out but he was feeling generous today. "Let him in but keep him at a distance from my son and I." Tresar-Ra could do nothing but roll his eyes. He knew his father didn't necessarily like these crazy 'men of the future' and rarely believed them so he didn't know why his father indulged in such things. Tres was done with this whole meeting. He just wanted to go back to his rooms and relax before his lessons. Although, perhaps this crazy would give him some amusement, for however a sort of time.

Rani nodded and bowed while walking backwards towards the entrance, then she turned and joined the other guard to escort the man in. It was a very young man, with a very humble look and an honest face. But looks could deceive and she knew that. He tried talking to her but she shushed him. "Listen to me carefully. When walking in, you do not talk to his highness untill asked to speak. You will bow and look at the floor, don't look him in the eyes." Normal folk weren't permitted to look the Pharao in the eye because they believed no one but his family or the Gods were good enough to do so. "But first, before I escort you in." She said looking him in the eyes. Her face sharp and her eyebrows lifted. "Think carefully about what you are doing here. If this message is just to mock or con him, then I suggest you run now. If not, may the Gods be with you." Rani turned and walked infront of him. While the young man followed with big eyes, the other guard walked besides him. Before entering the throneroom, she stopped and took another bow.

"Your highness, the man of the future is here." As humble and with as much respect as she could give, she softly spoke the words. When he nodded, she walked into the room. The young man's eyes were big when they saw all the gold and expensive stuff. Ofcourse, being distracted by all the beautiful things, he didn't notice when Rani suddenly stopped in the middle of the room. He ran into her and Rani forced a smile while being annoyed at his clumpsyness. He wanted to apolagies but she shook her head sharply.
