I've been trying to figure out a way to use this character, and after a good month of mulling over it, I had an idea. Since formal roleplays tend to go wrong for me, I could try something more 'casual' while keeping to my love of world-building and lore. That's when the idea for a single thread to post my ideas for "plot starters" popped into my head, and lo and behold, here it is! The trick is each roleplay could advance the setting's history so actual progress would be made. Not to mention, the continuities each plot takes place in may eventually start to change. You'll find a little more detail on that here.
Each RP proposal I make on here will have options regarding characters. You're more than welcome to bring in one of your own making if said character could reasonably fit into the setting and play a good role in the plot. If you're having trouble thinking of how to involve your character, the description of each plot will include a few "open slots" for you to fit your character into. If that's still not enough, there will also be optional 'pre-made' characters you can select from. For the most part, these character will just have a name, age, and place in the plot, so you can still get creative with them; but if you just want to jump right in, I can provide other details.
I'm okay with either one-on-one or group RP, though I admittedly have better results with one-on-one. Any character slots not taken will be filled with the alternate characters as NPCs. Once I've got a partner for a RP, it may be closed to other players. But depending on my RL schedule and how many memorable A.D.D.-induced daydreams I have at work, I'll probably come back with another idea to share.
Ugh, this is long for an introduction. How about I just shut up and propose an actual RP already?
Just PM me if any of these get your attention. I'll reply ASAP!

Summary of the setting
To start with, this is a world other than Earth. Just thought I'd get that out of the way first. I can promise that this isn't to hand wave any apparent logical inconsistencies in things like physics. It allows for a little more creative flexibility, but not to the point of becoming the next Matrix, so to speak.
With technology on the rise, countries are putting money into their own research & development programs. Cybernetics and nanotechnology were just two of many different advances, but they may have been the initial catalysts for the events that followed. After a cybernetically-enhanced mercenary wreaked havoc on the headquarters of federal law enforcement agency RBI, the Council of Ingria elected to ban cybernetic research entirely. Many researchers in the field disagreed with the ban and went on to form NET - the Nanotechnology Enhancement Trade, a black-market organization that became something of a terrorist group in their own right. But some countries, such as Sripanua, are more than happy to cash in on the research even if it means feeding Ingria's growing paranoia to a breaking point.
Many of the plots may revolve around a government agency in Ingria known as FSU (the Foreign Subversion Unit, unofficial designation for a black ops group operating under the OFI, or Office of Foreign Intelligence), whose key job is to sabotage efforts of other countries and criminal organizations who may or may not be a legitimate threat to the country. Loyalties will be stretched, ethics will be questioned, and ideas will be challenged. Obviously, there may be a lot of socio-political intrigue and "Batman gambits", but clear-cut heroes and villains don't exist. Also, while this is negotiable, our characters would be just starting out in the agency - mainly as a means of introducing our characters and figuring out where they'll fit best into the plot while we RP. Group or one-on-one RPs are also negotiable per player.

==========
No magic at all.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, one-off scene.
