Alright so I dunno if this is completely new but a friend shared something from DavidSuzukidotcom and I thought it was an interesting concept.

e-waste for dollars

"There's a new cost-free way to fundraise for your kid's hockey team, school group or an organization you support (including the David Suzuki Foundation: recycle e-waste for cash with Think Recycle."

"It's easy. Here's how to keep old, obsolete, or unwanted electronics out of landfills and fundraise for the David Suzuki Foundation by sending them to Think Recycle:
  • Collect a minimum of ten items (cell phones, print cartridges, digital cameras, etc.)
  • Register at Think Recycle (say you heard about the program from me)
  • Follow the directions for getting your discards to their facility"

Sounds like a good idea. Most people shed more electronics in a year than they realize.

exactly....I can count at least 10 old cellphones, digital cameras kicking around my house because someone gets a new phone or camera, they take the battery out of their old one and give the old one to my 2 year old. LOL.
Lol but I like to dismantle old items! :D *is mostly kidding. <.< >.> Mostly*

Pity that this also isn't operating in the UK!
