This Looking For RP topic is marked as closed, meaning it is no longer seeking new players.
Genre: Low Fantasy, later bordering on High Fantasy.
The basic premise is player characters would form part of an "organization" called the Nasirian Knights, whose job is to unite the nation of Nasiria (then separated into many dynasties fighting for power) in order to meet an unknown threat to the world in the future. Ironically, the Knights themselves are divided into four orders, each with completely different ideas on how to accomplish this goal. Not all of them are "knights" in the traditional sense of the word either.
This idea would implement a fairly unique idea: starting off in a world without magic, but slowly introducing said magic over a long course of time. By the point magic plays a major role, our characters would be quite old. That's another theme too, by the way: growing up and facing a world that's swiftly changing around you. Players would also create these characters' younger descendants or successors to highlight the contrast between the old and the new.
Different kinds of scenarios/stories/plot-starters are available, so there's plenty to work with! Here's a summary of the ones there are right now; if you want to read more about any of them, you can find in-depth descriptions of them here. Also, your characters can affect how events unfold!
Just a quick summary of the four orders, each with a different stylized focus:
First Order - Action-Thriller & Military Fiction
Second Order - Fantasy Quests & Exploration/Adventure
Third Order - Political Intrigue & Medieval Noir
Fourth Order - Science Fantasy & Mystery Fiction
You can find out more here!
I would prefer separate 1x1 RPs for different scenarios, but if someone wants to play in a group and can bring together friends that work well together, I'll probably make an exception.
Disclaimer: If you'd like to RP, but rather not look through the scenarios for ideas, let me know what you'd like in our RP via PM. Remember, these ideas are plot-starters; I'm more than happy to develop any details with you!

Plausible legends of ancient magic, but current magic is not common.
Iron age
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
Bump?
I kinda want to do something mystery/conspiracy-related right now, so...
Anybody interested in a Third Order RP?
I'm especially interested in roleplaying the Mockingbird scenario. Classic who-dun-it material with bigger implications than the usual, plain ol' murder mystery!

The Fourth Order's an interesting choice I haven't seen many make yet. Have you had a chance yet to look into it a bit further? What about it caught your attention or interests you?
I... Don't entirely know. It just caught my eye. And between the Second and Fourth, the little scenarios you have for them are pretty interesting to me.

I'll send you a PM if you'd like and we can discuss some ideas in more detail, if you like.

Home & Hearth - The First Order must protect an envoy traveling to distant lands; the Second Order is after an Ancient artifact (aren't they always?); and the Third Order are trying to impede their progress for their own ends. Let the story begin!

A natural catastrophe is about to strike a village, and it's up to a Knight of the First Order to save them by convincing them to leave. But what would happen if one of the villagers was a survivor of a massacre by the Order who convinces the others not to trust them?
If anyone wants to RP this idea, I'll use Palmeria. On the other hand, if you'd like to RP the story immediately preceding this, potentially 'changing' history in the process, I'm game for that too!
As stated in my profile, events between RPs with me exist in their own self-contained continuities of sorts, so they won't force certain facts on other players or make me have to abandon certain plot ideas. The point of the above plot is to follow up on what would've happened if a player character didn't significantly alter events in the previous one ("The Task"). It shouldn't be too confusing, but just play along with it. It'll keep your head from spinning, trust me.
