In the year 2406, humanity has reached and fallen from the stars several times. Despite numerous setbacks, the deaths of tens of thousands, and a near infinite stretch of red tape, we have finally said hello in person to the many bodies of our solar system. Thousands of asteroids have been turned into rotating interior habitats of numerous styles. Mars has been successfully terraformed and is in the final stages of its changes. Venus is in the process, and Mercury is occupied by several moving cities.

Dirty work still has to be done, and there's always a need for those that are willing to take risks far beyond what many would accept. These people are called Skydivers - anonymous agents performing various high-risk odd jobs throughout the system. They have no base, and no leadership, and despite this they remain organized - a collective of psychopaths, adrenaline junkies, idealists and glory-seekers.

Kara Tang is a little bit of all of those, and then some. Though she is underskilled, mostly self-taught, and rarely subtle, she intentionally takes the most difficult, dangerous assignments just to see if she can survive.
