The volcano close to several homes had erupted, sending out fumes of toxic air to the sky.
Legends told that the volcano was home to a fire dragon, or a fire demon. The dragon theory was more common for younger folk, since they all dreamed of days of visiting the volcano with friends and trying to find the so called fire gem that the dragon held. The gem was very important in keeping the dragon friendly, so when a theif finally stole it, bad luck attacked the small flourishing land that several people called home.
Most fled immediately, but it was a few who stayed behind as the large orange behemoth of a dragon flew around the volcano, circling it and awaiting the brave souls to find it.
