Vera bit her lower lip as she dashed down the hallway trying her very damned best not to drop the two air tanks, doing so would lead to a series of unfortunate events, which she didn't desire to deal with and experience. Being a doctor that let their patient die due to her clumsiness was not something she wanted to be known for, not even in the slightest. The half breed tightened her grip around both of the air tanks as she neared the medical bay. The pads of her pawed feet clashed with the hard floor, it created a clapping sound of some kind but not really, but it would indicate she was near to anybody who was around.

Vera swiftly kicked open the med doors with one of her hind legs before rushing in swiftly with the two air tanks at her sides. The odd human canine mix smiled nervously as she walked towards him and placed the tanks down."Their was a bit of...mess to go through?."She said a bit awkwardly as she rolled the through part with her tongue, unprofessional would be a word she would expect someone to retort with, because that's what she made herself sound like." Anyway, how much do you need? or are you fine with refilling it by yourself? although you wouldn't be able to do it with out my supervision ." The questions came out smoothly but her statement came out like a speeding bullet, was that rude? was it rude for her to assume and ask if he needed help? dear god! did she offend this poor man?? The half breed thought to herself in a panic. The last thing she wanted was a boot to the head or bullet to the head, bounty hunters and mercenaries were not the ones to take insults lightly, and she was smart enough to understand what the majority was on this ship.

"I certainly could tell you...but I'm just a prisoner. I'm locked up.” Said the female in the cell, Akilina knew what she was hinting at. She sighed as she covered her mouth with her hand. She noted her escort’s concern for the safety of the occupants, But what about her own safety or her escort’s? She made a mental note to ask him his name before she spoke. “I understand you do not want to be in a cage. I am sorry but we can not just release anyone from their cage. We do not know how dangerous anyone is, One creature is big enough problem.” She explained. “How do we know you are not working in conjunction with the other creature?” She asked. “After all, He did spare you that.” She pointed to the stain in the adjacent cell. She sighed and gave the occupant a sad look. “I am sorry but the burden of proof rests on your shoulders.”

Akilina stood unfazed when the clanging started again. It was pure reverberation, No telling how close or far it was emanating from. She could pick up the slight delay in the right ear. The sound was coming from where they had come from.
Remus Doran (played by TheTwilightWarrior)

Remus shot up from the bed as he heard her footsteps. He suspected them to be of the doctor, so the prospect of the loose being bursting through the door seemed a little... paranoid... Instead, the doctor burst through the door with the air tanks. He gave a whooping cough as she entered. Remus took note of her apprehension and raised his left mechanical hand as if to say 'calm down'. He stood up from the bed and approached the doctor and her air-filled tanks. He grabbed hold of one of them. "It's alright. I can do it myself... pretty routine at this point." He said with a chuckle, a reaction rare in most of his interactions with other people, especially amongst his peers.

He moved himself and the air tank to the bed and laid it down. He then removed his canisters on his mask and plugged the rubber tubes into the empty holes. He inhaled, taking in the oxygen he needed. He inhaled again, before pulling it from his mask and coughing violently. "It seems, I'll never get used that..." He muttered, before inhaling the rest of the tank. As he was finished, he laid the now empty tank on the ground and looked at the half-breed. "Thank you, Doctor Vera." Although masked, he formed a smile. "Now..." He approached her and laid his mechanical hand on her shoulder. "Would you like me to stay here and make sure you're safe? That is... until that thing is properly contained?" He said softly, his breathing seeming levelled and controlled as opposed to last time.

He goes into the hallway a bit, before walking back into the cargo bay. No doubt the thing was probably heading towards the medical bay. After overhearing the nearby conversation, he slung his Cannon back onto his back, un-holstered his Blazaar and walked over to the woman, and the other in the cell. While he walked, he opened the gun's breech and put another shell into one of it's barrels.

"After we get done doin' business, we need to start to track that thing down again. I think it's heading back towards the med bay." He walked near the cage and aimed his Blazaar with both hands at Maetharanel's left shoulder.

"No more stalling. There's a malicious creature on this ship, and we need to kill it before it massacres any more people on here. The contract my General signed to issue me out here stated I was not allowed to kill prisoners or bystanders, but I can severely wound them if something malign were to happen. You withholding information that could lead to us to have better hunting tactics against it technically counts as something malign. So... I'll give you two options..." He moves his finger onto the trigger.

"Tell us what it looks like, how it moves, how exactly it killed that man, or... you can become the one armed prisoner."
Maetharanel (played by HufflepuffPisces)

Mae shrugged at the woman's words. "You could always read my file and see that I'm not dangerous to you. I'm an Elf, dear. An Elven ambassador. The good kind. I hunt bad things and take messages to and from your governments. Which makes me wonder who's hired you to take us. As for being in league with the creature. It also didn't kill any of you four, or any of the other prisoners in here, so perhaps one of you are its accomplice? After all. Did it attack you? Or did it run away and choose another victim?" She rolled her eyes.

When the man approached and aimed his weapon at her she laughed. "Feel free to shoot me. You don't seem to know much about Elves, or me for that matter. But shooting me wouldn't rip off my arm and it certainly won't gain you anything besides earache from your employer about paperwork and medical bills. Which they'll likely dock from your wages seeing as you were the cause." She studied him, her expression cool and almost bored. She knew she was right.

"You might want to hurry up though." she tilted her head, "It may or may not be heading for your....friends."
"E-eh ."Vera snapped out of her train of thought after noticing the mans hand gesture, was it really that noticeable? Regardless, perhaps zoning out in her own thoughts wasn't a good idea at the moment, one she was terrible at hiding her body language when lost in thought, two! Now was not the time for such things! For all she could know the creature could be right around the corner, ready to make a move and strike.

Vera brought her hand up to her mouth and coughed as she watched the man refill his oxygen supply, however it didn't take the him that long. Vera's ears perked up after hearing a certain sentence."Thank you, Doctor Vera." Did she hear that right? thanked for such a simple task? She had stitched men back together from scratch before and never received such comments, other than the occasional "good job" or the ever repeating words of "Are you sure i'll be fine?" before and after she operated on the patient. Trying to be humble Vera replied with a simple response. "It's fine,It was just a simple task." She said with a small smile as she watched him approach her and place his mechanical hand on her shoulder." Actually I wouldn't mind that at all oddly enough." The half breed stated bluntly." I mean it would be the best choice of action, not that I can't defend myself or anything...it's just sticking to groups and pairs is relatively a smart option." Vera said with a sheepish grin." A few extra eyes and hands aren't bad!"

“I do not know why you are being transported. My only job here is to research anomalous creatures and develop ways to better contain them.” She said as she pulled a clipboard off the wall beside the cell. She quickly skimmed it, she saw nothing glaring that would a problem.

When she turned back, the guard was pointing a gun at the elf. She took the clipboard and smacked him in the chest. “What do you think you are doing?!” She shouted. “What will shooting her do? Friggin trigger happy bounty hunters. Only good for shooting things, not for science or diplomacy.” Her Russian accent became more accentuated when she was angry.

She turned to the elf, her expression changed to that of a reassuring mother. “What is your name, dear?”

She turned back to the guard and smacked his arm away with the clipboard. “Put that gun away! Mu'dak.” She said.
Remus Doran (played by TheTwilightWarrior)

What sounded like a snicker at first came out like a sigh from him. He liked to call it a 'demi-laugh' if any word so fitted the title. He coughed, trying to filter out the clogged up tubing in his mask. "Regardless, you have my gratitude... Anyway..." Remus nodded and sat back on the bed. "When you've got eyes and hands like mine, nothing could go wrong, I guarantee that." He said, before taking out one of his revolvers and playing with it like a small child; spinning the cylinder and cocking and uncocking the hammer. He stopped and began twirling it on his fingers. He looked back up to the doctor. "Would you like one?" He pulled out his second revolver. "Single-action model, so you'll have to cock the hammer and pull the trigger, yeah?" If she accepted, he would throw her the revolver to catch. If not, he'd simply holster it and focus his attention on the door.
Hasgramorne (played by Draken901)

"Is that so..? Well, misses steel bones, I guess I can make sure you have a harder time trying to get away from it if it comes back here." He began to aim the blazaar more towards her legs, when his arms and body got smacked with the clip board, he nearly pulled the trigger of the gun before the woman he was with started yapping at him. He took his aim the elf, letting the weapon rest in his arms. He looked over to Akilina. "You already tried diplomacy with her. The only ways we could have gotten useful information from her was to either set her free, or make her give it up. You can try talk all you want, but nothing scares a being more so than threatening one of their limbs or their life."

He walks back over to where the creature went, still being able to track it's footsteps with his thermal vision, but just barely. He yells back over to the woman near the cage. "Whenever you're ready to stop chatting with the caged ones, we need to start tracking this thing down again."
Maetharanel (played by HufflepuffPisces)

"Why would my name matter if you're not interested in my reason for being in here, or in my help? Why would it matter when you're apparently going to leave me here and be attacked?" She laughed a little, and looked over at the man. "And I'm afraid I'm not as scared of death as you seem to think I am. As I said. Shooting me will gain you nothing, whether it's to injure a limb or to kill me. You'll just be wasting bullets. Although...the substance that creature is made of is...curious. I'm not entirely sure your bullets would work. I could be wrong of course. Perhaps you should try shooting it and hope that it works." She said thoughtfully, and took a sip of water from a cup in her cell.
"A medic? With a gun? Well...isn't that all kinds of ironic."Vera stated bluntly while extending a hand out for her to catch it with in one quick motion that made the sleeve of her lab coat bounce along with her hair. " Yet again the world as we know it is ironic so why not? Although just a heads up! I may not be the greatest shot" The halfbreed said while amusing herself somewhat, it wouldn't be the first time she's had to use and carry a gun and she doubted it would be the last. Life had always had an odd path set up for her it seemed, for as long as could remember even when she was a small child or pup?, but it was always the best action not question things about destiny at this point and just go with the motion that looks the most promising In her point of view, it moslty always worked out...moslty.

“I do not know where you got idea that I do not want your help. I am merely, skeptical.” She said as she placed her hand over her mouth in thought. From what the elf had said, she could be invaluable. Her train of thought derailed as the clanging seemed to move closer toward the med bay.

Knowing her time was short, she told the guard to open the door. “I do not have key, probably would not work anyway. Why don't you use that weapon for something actually useful.” She ordered as she stepped away from the door. She turned her head and tried to follow the clanging with her ears.

Meanwhile!

The creature writhed in the vents, making it's why towards its next meal. The crimson having drained from its translucent body. It's pitch colored body started to turn a pale color. The creature slowed its movements as it neared the two meals. It saw through the floor level grates as it crawled through the vent. It saw the two meals leaving a room. The creature crawled to the next vent and forced it off its hinges. It crawled out of the hole in the wall, its movements becoming jerky and shaky. It stood up and regained its posture before the cowboy and hybrid.
Remus Doran (played by TheTwilightWarrior)

Remus didn't say anything and went back to fiddling with his revolver. He gave it one last spin before standing back up to stretch. Just as he extended his arm (to which it reverberated a loud 'snap'), he looked around all of sudden. He could hear something in the vents. He looked to Vera. "Hear that...?" He whispered and moved one finger to his respirator where his lips would be, indicating her to be silent.

He looked to the floor level grates and held his revolver to his side. He looked to Vera. "It's over there..." He whispered, before pulling the hammer of the revolver with his thumb. I only need one anyway... He thought to himself as he anticipated the next move of the creature. As it came through the vent, time seemed to slow down to a snail's pace for Remus. That's when he shot at the creature; three times, fanning the hammer with incredible speed through Vera's perspective, although to Remus, it looked incredibly slow to him.
Hasgramorne (played by Draken901)

He was aiming his gun down the hallway, just in case if it were to come back. After hearing him get called to open the door, he holstered his blazaar and walked over. "I'm not some lackey you can just boss around lady, you're just some crew-mate I met when me and cow-bow hat got to the med-bay. Frankly I wouldn't even be doing this if I knew more about the abilities of this creature. But I will admit, having an extra hand can be useful when dealing with an unobserved enemy."

He unsheathes his prisma blade, with a puff of flame erupting from it's scabbard. In a second, it's blade grows white hot. He walks closer to the door, putting the blade's edge on it's hinges and locks, quickly melting the metal they are made out of. He sheathes it when he's finished, and takes his launcher off of his back and begins walking towards the hallway once again.
Maetharanel (played by HufflepuffPisces)

Her eyes grew wide when the clanging slowed. "It's found something-" she began, and then three gunshots rang out and she barely registered the man cutting the hinges of her cage and freeing her. "Well, I hope that worked rather than peeving it off even more." Mae muttered, and held her hands up a little as she walked out of the cage. "Sensible move, miss. As for you. No you're not some lackey. You're a man with a brain so use it. I don't fear death but I'd prefer not to have my rib cage ripped open by that thing, so obviously I'm interested in killing it with you. Now. Let's go see if your comrades are alive shall we?" She huffed and stretched out her muscles, a few things cracking from being so cramped up and inactive for so long.

She didn't even bother asking for a weapon, she knew what the answer would be.
