Hello friends! Apologies if there is a more suitable forum for this, but I was curious to see how many TTRPG players there was on here! People interesting in playing them are equally welcome to come in and chat, ask questions, anything!
Think of this as a general topic for TTRPGs. I can start with a rundown of my history with them.
I started with my friends in middle school. Back then, we had sheets, but no dice or anything. Our "Game Master" just described stuff, and we would describe what our characters did, and he would arbitrarily decide whether we succeeded or not.
When I entered high school, my uncle gave me his Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 Edition books. We begun to play that, and spent about a year playing it. Soon after, D&D 4th Edition was released, and we moved to that for a bit.
Most of my experience past that, until currently, has been 2 or 3 full Pathfinder campaigns, several discontinued campaigns and one-shots, and some dabbling in other systems such as Shadowrun, Eclipse Phase, the Fantasy Flight Star Wars line, and Deadlands (supernatural Wild West).
Currently, I play Pathfinder twice weekly, in two separate campaigns. I also have a monthly game of Star Wars: Edge of the Empire. I have also read all of the currently released D&D 5th Edition books, but have not convinced my group to try it.
Well, that's me! Anybody else?

I have been playing true P&P games since early high school. At first it was a few D&D 3.5 games, including one that I DMed. When I went to college I DMed another D&D campaign, then joined a few of my friends' games. Lots of D&D, 3.5 and 4, as well as GURPS and a variety of one shots. My friend did "The ſ Files", which was like the X Files set in colonial America (I helped him run that one a couple times).
Nowadays I'm just in 2 games. One is a Mistborn campaign, and the other is a D&D variant we've been playing for 7 years. We started at level 6 and now we're all gods, and the campaign is probably only going to last another 6 months or so since we're in the last phase. I want to run a homebrew Candylance game after that.

Haha, that setting looks awesome! Were you going to create the system from the ground up? Or just run it as a home brew setting in D&D or something?
Also, GURPS! I've not had an opportunity to try it out, myself. But I hear good things from someone I know that is currently in a game of it.

GURPS is ... special

And yeah, for Candylance I plan on just reskinning D&D 5e! Though I might simplify it on top of that if needed. And if you have any ideas for it feel free to post in that thread! X)

Running an online version might be interesting! I'd have to figure out the easiest way, since I've never done tabletop style over the internet before.

Talk to Rynh! He's run quite a few online games! He uses Roll20 and could walk you through it!

Roll20 is great! I mostly have experience as a player using it, but I ran a game on it once. Just a short three-shot campaign of Mutants and Masterminds 3rd Edition.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I'll have to hit Rynh up

Any RPG systems that anybody has wanted to try, but haven't had a chance?
Personally, I've always wanted to play A Song of Ice and Fire Role Playing Game. I think the rules for creating a noble house and the social intrigue rules to be very interesting!

I'm interested in playing Scion!
