Gawain put on the armour looking as polished and shiny as a mirror. He escorted Guinevere and Morgause to king Conrad stand and presence, leaving them there he made his way to the jousting grounds.
The battle itself was long and tense, it lasted much longer than most since both knights were good enough to carry on but lacking enough to receive many wounds throughout the tournament.
The people and for once even the king were gasping tense if horrified as the tournament progressed. Both knights lost helmets and shields, Gawain was caught in the leg causing a limp, his left arm was sliced open and his head sported a deep gash, Percival fared no better with wounds to the head, he received a deep wound to the thigh which made him unable to stand and his good right arm was disabled almost severed at the shoulder in the final blow that caused him to drop the sword and surrender.
Gawain raised his sword to the man's chest.
"Sir Percival of Camelot, do you accept defeat?" Demanded Gawain loudly
"Yes, I plead mercy" acknowledged Percival.
Gawain then turned to King Conrad "Does the kingdom of Camelot surrender?" Demanded the knight looking up at Conrad's pale face, not about to spare the fallen champion least victory was assured
"Yes.... I king Conrad Tydfil of Camelot hereby surrender myself and kingdom at thy mercy" sighed Conrad leaning against Merthyr and Mordred as he knelt down
Gawain came before Conrad despite his limp and injuries and took the crown off Conrad's head into his hands making his way to Morgause.
"By right of conquest I hereby name you, my mother, lady Morgause, queen of Camelot... arrest the former monarch... long live the queen." waved Gawain watching Conrad be seized and made to kneel before the queen
"As for myself I claim Taff, his two royal slaves and ward Morgana as my rightful bounty" waved Gawain claiming Merthyr, Lancelot, Morgana and Taff
"Morgause spare my wounded knight and our lives" asked Conrad

I am not one to be malicious nor spiteful. That is why I declare that in this day, you and the lord who have caused so much greif to this land. Are to be banished beyond the borders of both Camelot and Orkney. Should you return, you face execution. However I am not without my graces, I'll allow your champion to be treated for his wounds before you go."

Morgana left distressed at the turn of events going to her rooms and locking the door shut to weep the loss of Conrad, her fatherly figure and her brother Tron alongside her freedom, shutting everyone out to remain alone except Amber.
