"My queen.. you know I will gladly help in any way I can but, I think mostly about Morgana when I kneel down before you to plead.
Please, aunt,... allow my father and her brother Tron to remain in Camelot and stay here at the castle, have them watched and shackled at all times, have them locked up in their rooms sunset to sunrise, even when not required if you please, father is at times wise in his counsel and can be of help, his presence by your side will strengthen your standing by ensuring the nobles allegiance.
Strip his titles and the right to bear arms, remove his freedom to leave the castle grounds, but do not send him away, please, I would rather see him sat at the table by Morgana, she is like a sister to me and she's very attached. She will appreciate being able to visit them in their quarters and feel reassured that no harm has befallen them. I vouch for them. Should they betray you, I will run them through with a sword. It's by no means a demand but a humble yet earnest petition" requested Merthyr going silent to give her time to consider
"Now then, what laws do you wish to discuss?" Asked Merthyr in better spirits and smiling broadly and keen to help
Taff let Nimueh tend to the wounded and came to Morgana rooms knocking on the door.
"It's me, Taff, your manservant, may I come in?" Asked Taff politely and cheerfully

"Merthyr everything i do, I do it because it is what is right. That man has become greedy and cruel in his age, and has worse yet dragged lady Morgana's brother into the frey. Merthyr, as your queen and friend I will have to deny your request for the betterment of the kingdom and its people. That thing is not my brother, not anymore. My decision is final Merthyr, I suggest you spend as much time with him as you can with him before he leaves. Tell lady Morgana to do the same."
Morgause pauses for a second as if contemplating something.
"Oh and Merthyr, if it is something that both you and lady Morgana can agree upon. You are granted permission to nulify the marriage contract if you so choose."

"Thank you for the offer but without father or brother the lady Morgana will need me now more than ever. It would be the most dreadful and dishonest betrayal to even consider such" nodded Merthyr
"I know my father has not been the best of kings lately but he's still family, I shall take your generous offer to spend time with him" accepted Merthyr.
"What of this new law your majesty is considering?" Asked Merthyr somewhat curious about it

"I have been considering expanding Camelot's military. Even perhaps allowing women to be trained and join."
"It will be certainly a surprising new change in Camelot indeed. I know some skilled warriors who happen to be women, you and Morgana included, but I know for certain some would not join and the knights would not appreciate them in our travels, as a matter of honour and reputation but they would certainly keep the queen safe" mused Merthyr surprised at the unexpected change
"Also, starting tomorrow I'm lifting the magic ban."
"As you deem best your majesty" yielded Merthyr not about to object
"You know more of it than I do in such matters and such laws caused much death and heartbreak" accepted Merthyr having expected such a move

"And before you go. I'd like to take you and Morgana on a ride tomorrow, I need to explain why I make the decisions I do."
"I will have the horses ready" nodded Merthyr in understanding "But I apologize in advance on her behalf, please take no offense if she becomes rude, hostile and inflexible, she was always permitted to speak up her mind and challenge all matters and it will take time to adjust to her new condition as your son's slave" commented Merthyr worried
"I will speak to Gawain on her behalf as well as yours. Now off you go, a long days work ahead."
Conrad sat down in his quarters awaiting patiently for the guards to escort him out of the realm, keeping the door locked up in the meantime. He had his manservant preparing outfits, armour and some personal belongings.
Once done the pair sat back to rest, playing a relaxed game of chess to pass the time, in no mood to humour sentimentality
Nimueh turned up at the room arms crossed along the chest.
"Knight without errand and king without throne, if you find yourself in need of shelter, the Isle of the Blessed is beyond that northern border and across the rough sea, the sanctuary you once offered may it be now your refuge and home" offered Nimueh.
"Well... it used to be my wife's realm at one point, it is befitting I took greater care of it, I have neglected it for a time" nodded Conrad "thank you" quipped Conrad "What of my nephew or sir Percival? Will you heal them? Or are to die from their wounds?" Asked Conrad concerned
"They shall live, I already have healed them" nodded Nimueh "You did spare me at the time of your wrath and purge and you spared Morgana despite her powers known to you, now you reap what you sowed, two lives debts are thus repaid" nodded Nimueh
"Go then... My carriage awaits to take you away" waved Nimueh pointing at the eerie transport that awaited at the courtyard surrounded by wraith warriors
"Ahhh yes... of course..." nodded Conrad watching Sir Tristan on horse determined to ensure the king's safety
Conrad walked into the carriage weary, without bidding anyone farewell and keeping the departure low key as possible so as to not cause unrest least Merthyr's life was endangered by any revolt
Merthyr looked on from the stables, saddened to watch his father go, refraining from seeing the king since he had not been summoned to the occasion.
He muttered his gratitude at Tristan as the valiant loyal knight accompanied Conrad in the long journey. Merthyr himself longed to go but refrained from doing so, focused on taking care of his master, his queen and his fiancee instead.
He sighed relieved to see Nimueh's protective gesture and cheerfully returned to his humble tasks at the armoury, coming to Morgause to let her know that the king had departed
Gawain and Percival came out of the healing room to find Nimueh at the corridor who had watched Conrad leave.
"Thank you for your services and care" smiled Gawain at Nimueh, coming to his mother to assure her all was well, Percival following quietly, unhappy and weary of her usage of magic having preferred to die than make use of it but keeping a respectful silence
"Mother, your victorious champion returns to your presence... queen of Camelot" smiled Gawain bowing gallant over her hand
"I have commanded a feast and a ball shall be held in your honour and I have sent Taff, the manservant, to inform and ready the lady Morgana. I shall be the princess champion and knight in shining armour tonight" explained Gawain with a broad smile
Merthyr frowned at hearing that, an evident hint of discomfort creeping up. "Sir Gawain may I remind you the lady is already betrothed, it would fare poorly to her reputation to be seen leaning on another man's arm, master" protested Merthyr.
"Well, she's my slave and a trophy of war, her beauty must be displayed with pride, it so pleases me she adorns my arm, my table and bed chamber tonight and you will go to her and make her aware of all that" taunted Gawain with a small smirk
"What?! Surely not!" gasped Merthyr in disbelief
"Tell her to dress to impress, while you're at it, I want praises and passion for me upon her red lips and her fullest devotion and attention, exclusively. I have spared all your lives, hers, her father, her brother, her betrothed and even her champion Percival, all considered, some gratitude in the form of attentiveness and adulation is expected and welcomed" pointed out Gawain goading Merthyr with a smirk
"Seems you're out of your mind. You must be jesting surely, you cannot be serious about that..." rejected Merthyr outright
"Oh believe me that I am" smiled Gawain broadly
"You cannot demand that from me..." complained Merthyr at Gawain's unreasonable request bickering with his former knight "You expect me to ask my high born damsel, my bride, to lessen her reputation to that of a loose woman just for your satisfaction?!" Quizzed Merthyr finding the order a hard one to swallow
"Indeed I do, Merthyr, a certain prince had the chance to wed the jewel and missed the opportunity, I for one will make the most of my chance" assured Gawain
"Merthyr, you don't feel sore about it, find yourself a maid, a woman of your station to attend the dance with, the lady Morgana is spoken for" notified Gawain smiling, not only he quite liked Morgana but he couldn't help teasing Merthyr, a broad grin across the face at Merthyr's wince
"Here, take Guinevere, for example, she's your favourite knight's sister, I am sure her brother Lancelot will be all too pleased and honoured to lend you the girl's hand yet if he feels offended you can sort it out at the jousting grounds" appointed Gawain
"Being the prince from Orkney is befitting I indulge in the company of the princess of Camelot. You, my dear cousin, being the prince of Camelot, should indulge in the company of a maiden from Orkney in return, it will soothe any animosity and rift between the two kingdoms" pointed out Gawain "Swallow your pride and comply... for the sake of peace" egged on Gawain
"Yes, of course" agreed Merthyr reluctantly unable to counter the well made point
"Guinevere, it will be a pleasure to keep you company at the feast if you would allow me to be your champion tonight" greeted Merthyr bowing over her hand knowing neither he nor her could refuse the prince's bizarre yet well justified demand, complying with the given orders for the sake of peace
Upon hearing the suggestion that prince Merthyr was to court a maid, Josh quickly went to invite Amber right away in case others made advances, bewildered to find Taff already awaiting by the damsels door

Morgause could not help herself, for the first time in many years she let out a small chuckle. She had viewed the conversation that conviently looked as if planned, considering it took place just after she had given him permission to nulify the marriage.
"Seems my dear son had backed you into a rather tight corner Merthyr. Though I fear it may anger lady Morgana."
Guinevere was dumbfounded by this point, her mouth hanging open like a dead fish.
"Wait, what has just happened ?"

"Your majesty, my dear aunt, I am sure me and my fair lady will happily oblige to Sir Gawain's wishes, for the sake of peace... it is but one feast, a meal and a ball, after all" brushed aside Merthyr smoothly "It's fair that our valiant victor who has won the kingdom by right of arms enjoys the glory undisturbed, princess included" yielded Merthyr
"Cousin I will escort Morgana to your presence and arms personally and keep Guinevere company for the evening." explained Merthyr
"Guinevere, I will be collecting you within the hour, if you're ready, my lady" smiled Merthyr going off to try to explain to Morgana what was expected off her in the most positive and dutiful manner possible

Amber opened the door ad smile at the two. "What business do you have here?" She stood with her hands intertwined as she awaited their answers.
"Amber... a feast is taking place tonight here at the castle, would you allow me to be your champion? I even bought a dress for you to match my outfit with jewels too" explained Josh pushing Taff aside out of the way as he presented the gifts, looking at her expectant
Merthyr walked away in a steady pace coming over to Morgana's quarters. He was surprised to find Taff lingering there and Josh as well but remained focused on his task
"Please respect our privacy..." requested Merthyr, waving the maid out and shutting the door closed, coming to wake up the sleeping beauty
He made her aware of Conrad's departure, without farewell, which distressed Morgana greatly, after, once she had recovered, he related to her all Gawain had demanded, earning himself a backhand and slap, along with red cheeks for such daring requirements.
This was followed by a stern worded argument but... in the end... she yielded. After all, Merthyr was right, she was a slave and Gawain her master thus she was in no position to refuse despite her distaste and reluctance.
The fact that Merthyr had no objection bothered her much too yet, he was right again, as the princess, she was indeed expected to make sacrifices, to do all what was required to help maintain peace, regardless of personal cost, for these reasons she took a deep breath and sent Merthyr out that she could ready for the feast
She was not about to forgive Merthyr's lack of defence or protest and she would make him pay for such dishonest requests one way or another

She blushed and nodded, giggling. "I would be most pleased." She took the gifts and set them down on her bed then returned to the door. She walked out as Merthyr had commanded and smiled at the two men. When Merthyr left she re-entered the room.
It seemed as if in an instant as Guinevere was swept from the room by a large group of maids. All while wearing a peculiar face of confusion. Before she could process this further, she was being covered in all sorts of powder and shown many dresses. She suddenly wished her queen had lost the tournament.
She smiled at Morgana. "What was that about?" She listened as she put her gifts on her small vanity.
"Amber come and prepare a very seductive outfit, seems despite my engagement, I have a bored prince to charm and woe tonight" announced Morgana taking the feast as just another chore
She was used to being Uther's beauty queen for his, at times, less than honourable rowdy, wealthy guests; a pretty sculpture for the rich to drool over and it seemed her life wasn't going to improve much now either. She still dutifully presented herself and let Amber help bring out her natural beauty for all to see
Merthyr watched Lancelot tend to Mordred not having the heart to inform him of the undignified arrangement. If needed they could settle the matter of honour in the morning training routine.

She nodded and began making a seductive red dress. After a while it was done. "Here you are m'lady." She laid the dress on her bed and went to her closet, picking out a light purple dress and changing. "How would you like your hair and makeup done, m'lady?"
