I show jonah my hands and sigh the words "cheer up she might not even feel the same way in fact I think she does not feel the same way" and give him a thumbs up "she's all yours pal" I say still looking into amber's eyes
She blinked. She truly didn't know how to respond and that triggered something in her mind. She looked down, her hair becoming a curtain between her and the world. "Why?"
"because" she trailed off and looked to Jonah for help but then too a deep breath and said "i'm sorry but it is true and Jonah knows and I wasn't gonna tell you because of this" I say looking at her hair covering her face "if you want me to leave I will, whatever you want me to do I will" I say holding back tears and the urge to hug her for fear that it would make everything worse
I stand still, unable to speak. Afraid of what might happen next.
"i'm sorry" I say repeatedly looking at Jonah and at Amber "I did not mean for any of this to happen"
"No, don't leave. Just, don't try anything." She looked up, smirking.
He'd been staring at the cooking dog, waiting for his friends. 'They will be happy... I'd give them food and they would be happy... or I'm going crazy.... hard to tell.......' he thought.
