The kingdom of Valencia is vast and bustling. It is overlooked by the castle on the central, northern edge of the kingdom, and the castle itself might as well be a kingdom.
It was home to hundreds of guards, royal advisers, teachers, military, law officials, and all of their families. It was also home to the orphans, some thirty or so of them. They were released at the age of 18, but many decided to stay behind and become part of the castle's employment. But while living in the castle, any children received top-notch education, equal across the board.
Except for one, secret class...
A group of gifted people that lived in the castle were members of the class that would meet once a week. The goal of the class was set by the teachers, who are experts at controlling their powers.
When most gifted people first learn of their powers, they aren't in control of it very well. They let each student choose a goal to work towards when it comes to their gift, including but not limited to:
-Growing in strength
-Gaining better control of their gift
-Avenging someone/keeping a promise
But it's up to the student.

Melina was an orphan at the castle, from the age of six until she was 18. She was part of the gifted class from age 13. At age 19, she went on an adventure with a group that included Evan and Alex.
The three returned, unsuccessful in their endeavor, and Melina resumed her post as event liaison for the royal court. She knew all the tiny, tedious information about each important person that visited the castle for regular meetings, feasts, and balls. But, as the king has known Melina for the majority of her life, if she ever needed to leave again, he'd completely understand and allow it.

Evan's youngest sibling, his only sister, was killed along with his mother when Evan was twelve. He lived with his closest sibling, Alex, at the castle with their father until Evan was 18. They mostly lived as orphans, and met Melina in the orphan living quarters.
Evan discovered his powers at age 15, and joined the class then. At 18, he moved into a house in Castle City with Alex. They still attended the class.

At age 17, he moved in with his older brother in their own house.

Though she most likely has been around long enough to see the school be built, it wasn't until she cause a huge accident that she finally decided to apply and attend it. Let's hope someone knows what they're doing.

I would also like to try to play as a teacher, but I'm not too sure what the guidelines are for 'gifts'. Cause, Madison understands most abilities but doesn't have most abilities.

Madison, as the only survivor, became a wandering hero and explorer/treasure hunter. Eventually, she found the school, where she could help other students make sense of themselves and their abilities. She decided to apply as a teacher in hopes to pass down any knowledge she has.
She also discovered the school before Rebecca.

Bellitudo is a strange girl, and obviously not human. She has the ability to summon on control both scorpions and sand. And the scorpions she can summon are far from normal. She's lived life as an orphan within the palace for as long as she could remember, having joined the gifted class at a young age. She has other abilities as well, only through her physical advantages though. Her black, dragon-like wings give her the power of flight, her black furry tail basically gave her another hand, and her red cat-like eyes gave her the ability to see in the dark.

Erica is a half phoenix, half human. She was born to a human and a phoenix. She has the powers of fire, from easily summoning a ball of fire to setting a whole forest on fire. She can barely control her powers and often wears fire-proof gloves to stop herself from setting everything on fire. She used to live in a small tree house in the woods, but she was taken into the castle as she was basically an orphan. She has three forms, her human, her hybrid and her phoenix. She loves shifting from all of them, but her most used is obviously human.
