"Oh, Hazelstar!" exclaims Fallenpaw. "We didn't expect you to pass by..!"

Brookpaw stares at the clan leader for a moment. "Oh, uhm.. Greetings, Hazelstar," the WindClan apprentice said rather formally. "We are in need of speaking to you."

It was like Brookpaw had changed into a more mature cat, as each word escaped the tips of Brookpaw's tongue.

"Oh, alright. What do you need?"

Shadow-*he lays by the lake and sleeps*

Brookpaw stands as confident as she could be, as she spoke. "I've been meaning to ask about how I could be able to return to my clan." Her gaze met with Hazelstar's eyes. "I'm rather certain that by now, they'd realize that I've been missing for the past few sunrises."

Hazelstar nods. "I'll get you one of my strongest warriors to escort you."

Brookpaw nods. "I see," she says. "May I ask if, uhm.." Brookpaw's pelt grew slightly warm, as she finished her sentence. "..if I can also allow Fallenpaw to accompany me?"

Fallenpaw gave a rather surprised look, as his fur grew rather hot. Oh, StarClan, she actually said that! She actually.. She actually said that! he thought in excitement.

"Hm. Well, if you wish."

"Thank you, Hazelstar," Brookpaw said. "So, when do we depart?"

"Well, you can go now if you'd like." Hazelstar licks her paw.

"Actually, I can wait until the next sunrise," she said. "I want to enjoy what I have for the rest of today."

"Alright, Brookpaw." Hazelstar touches noses with Brookpaw's and walks back into her den.

Brookpaw turned back to Fallenpaw. "So, uhm.. What else do you want to do?" she asked. Fallenpaw stared for a moment, before shaking his head. "Oh, uh, we can.. We can go explore the territory?"

Brookpaw chuckled. "Sure, Fallenpaw!" the apprentice exclaimed. "We can, uhm, explore..!"

Just then, a yowl can be heard from outside the camp.

Just as the two apprentices stepped a paw outside camp, a yowl rung in the two cats' ears.

"What was that?" Fallenpaw and Brookpaw asked in unison.

And then, what looks like half of ShadowClan, run into the camp. Yep. ShadowClan's attacking.

The apprentices eyes widened, as the faint scent of ShadowClan filled their nostrils. They looked at each other in worry, before the two scurry back into the camp.

"ShadowClan are attacking!" they hollered from the top of their lungs.

Warriors turn and look at the two apprentices, then see the giant group of ShadowClan cats.
Three warriors, including Iceheart, both run to the nursery. The rest of thr The The ThunderClan warriors clash with the ShadowClan warriors.

Fallenpaw takes note of his mentor, Larkwind, as one of the cats charging into battle. "Larkwind!" called Fallenpaw, "What do we do?!"

Larkwind looked at the two apprentices. "Fight!" the warrior responded, as he leapt into the fray.

The elders join the fight, and all six of them pounce on two ShadowClan cats.

Fallenpaw looked at Brookpaw, as the WindClan apprentice only gives a fierce nod. "Fallenpaw," she says, "We're in this together, right?"

Fallenpaw nodded. "Then, let's go down honorably."

The two apprentices dash over to an incoming ShadowClan warrior about to pounce, and claw the back of a warrior. Their paws unsheathed, Fallenpaw claws the warrior's left eye, and just barely missed the target. The warrior gave a small yowl, as they fell onto the ground.

Now that the target was distracted, the ShadowClan cat leapt onto the ThunderClan apprentice, and easily pinned him down. Just as the warrior was about to bite down, however, Brookpaw pounced, and bit down on the warrior's right ear. The warrior got off of Fallenpaw, and attempted to claw Brookpaw off, before the WindClan apprentice yanked, and flew off the warrior, with a torn ear in her mouth.

Brookpaw spat out the ear, and ran over to Fallenpaw. "Come on!" she exclaimed. "We need to keep on fighting!"
