I'm looking for a government agent for a 1 on 1. J.C is wanted for both scientific research and for commiting crimes. Your character was sent to watch him, studying him so he/she can give the government information and the okay to attack. Your character has no second thoughts at first, as they're getting paid quite a lot, but after a while they start to wonder whether or not Jean-Claude Laevatte is the complete monster he's made out to be.
Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Further future, perhaps visit mars or upload your brain
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Some romance is possible, but the overall plot is more important.
