It was cold, raining like it had almost the entire week since she arrived in the city. Iveth just finished college and was now in search for a job, a good one at that. What was meant by good was not in an office. If anywhere, that would be last place she would be.

In seeing the bar she flung the door open and pushed back her hood, ruffling the water droplets from her curls.

Buisness was normally slow on the weekdays but the rainy days didn't help much either. The local bar Ares only had a handful of regular customers this rainy night. The bar was ran but a single young man named Warren haze. He is both the the owner and the only bartender.

"Well this rain is starting to get ridiculous" Warren said as he cleaned a glass with his head down and eyes closed. He then served some drinks to a few customers when he heard the door open and a hooded young woman walked in. "Hello welcome to Ares" he said with smile.

There was a big contrast as she walked in, the air immediately becoming warm and roomy, not to mention the alcoholic fume that lingered within the place. Not many were there, just a few who probably came often.

A smile crossed her lips at the bartender who welcomed her, "Thanks. Weather's crazy, no?" She was quick to find a seat and shook off her coat before hanging it over her lap. No particular reason she was there, her mind wasn't on drinking or anything the like. She supposed a break from walking didn't sound like a bad idea.

He smiled and nodded at her "yea the weather is a little crazy this week" He said. Warren then grabbed an empty glass then walked over to her. Warren was a medium sized young man wearing a white button up shirt with black dress pants,the usual bartending dress attire or atleast he thought. He was 5'8" with an athletic build. His hair was white as snow and eyes were green as ancient jade. He reached her and placed the glass down on a coaster and smiled "well now can I get you anything to drink miss?" He said as he examined his new unfamiliar customer.

Iveth lifted her eyes up to him, taking in his appearance which was.. Well definitely not the normal bartender, but she decided not to question it and let it be, "Uhm.. Mascato wine really sounds good right now." She crossed her arms on the counter, leaning on her elbows as her eyes scanned over the vicinity before settling back onto the bartender. Whatever was he on when he dyed his hair white? That is 'if' he dyed it. Not that it looked bad, it was simply a bit striking.

Picked up the glass and switched it with a wine glass "ahh okay so that's the mood were in huh, well Mascato it is then" he said with a smile as he the went to the shelf and grabbed the wine bottle and filled the wine glass. As he poured her drink he notice the woman surveying the bar. He wondered what she thought about the decor. There were many tables and seats for people, a dance floor towards the back, posters of movies and martial artists not to mention drinks on the menu were hanging up. There was a pool table and dart board just in case people were more in a competitive mood and a juke box with a wide variety of music.

He handed her the drink "here you go miss and yes its natural" he said with a slight smirk noticing the woman observing his hair.

Her thoughts were interrupted by his voice, but she shrugged it off and took the wine glass in her hand, "Thanks. To-" She paused, her gaze landing on a martial arts poster and she grinned, raising her drink, "To martial arts." Bringing the cup to her lips, she chuckled and took a large sip. The taste lingered in her mouth as she brought the cup down to the counter.

Iveth rolled her shoulders and examined the posters once again, "You into martial arts?" Her attention returned back to the bartender.

Warren laughed and nodded at her toast "To martial arts" he said as he then looked over to the other handful of customers as they grunted and kept to themselves. "hmm I guess not" he said as he focused back on the woman and smiled "I guess you can say that, I been doing it ever since i can remember. How about you miss...." he asked the woman. He scratched his head noticing her rolling out her shoulders. ~very interessting out of all things this woman...~ Warren thought to himself.

Iveth then smiled among her most favorite topic, "Since I was a kid. It was sort of.. Required." Though it was from long ago, the memories seemed like they were made only the day before. She hated whenever they resurfaced, reminding herself of the horrid things she used to do and the regret she felt afterwards. "Not the best area of my life though," she added as she once again brought the cups to her lips. Maybe it'd wash them out for the time being.

Warren shook his head and folded his arms as he listened to her reply "interesting you almost sound like you regret learning...but I understand where your coming from I guess" he said as he served a couple more drinks to some other customers. He then wiped down the countertop and looked up to the woman staring off into space as she drank her wine more.

He walked back in front of her and leaned forward with smile "is everything OK miss? What's on...." he stopped hearing the door swing wide open with a large bearded man enter. Warren then looked up at him with a stern look "Axel you know I banded you from this bar for a year after the trouble you started a couple months ago I suggest you leave...." Warren said. The large bearded man threw off his long overcoat leaving only a tank top on his large baggy pants and heavy work boots to cover his mass. "To hell with that War how about you fight me now and if I beat you then Ares gets a new owner!!! " the six foot bohemeth shouted as he stood ready for a fight.

The sudden movement caused Iveth to swiftly jump out her seat, her wine spilling onto her jeans. She muttered a curse under her breath as she looked up at the troublesome man. Her eyes flickered between the bartender and the intruder, and suggested they were definitely not well acquainted. Best she'd step in before things got rough.

"Sir, he said get out," oh she tried to be polite, but her words were almost bitter and she used diction like there was no tomorrow. She was certainly pissed that she'd have the lingering smell of alcohol till she got home.

Warren looked over at the young woman seeing her spill her drink "ughh dammit this isn't good now he is bothering the customers" he said. he looked back at the other people only to see them slowly backing up to watch and not to be confused as participants in this feud. One older customer looked at the bartender "Warren are you going to fight him please be careful none of us want any part of this but do what you have to" he said to Warren.

Warren looked over to him and nodded and then looked back over angrily at Axel, but before he could speak the young woman made her statement already. "Hmmm?" Warren looked on confused slightly but had remembered her drink spilled on her. Axel then turned his attention to the young woman "huh? little lady stay out of this! Don't piss me off even more or ill have to show you what a real man looks like not that little punk War" he said as he then charged heavily at the bar setting his sights on the two of them.

'Little lady'?! The term completely made her fume and she snorted at the thought she could be. She'd show him just the 'little lady' he thought her to be. Normally she wasn't short tempered, but being judged on her sex could rip her from her reigns quickly. She glanced at the bartender unsure if he was going to make a move so she brought into her own hands.

Turning back to her newly found grudge she broke the wine glass against the counter before striding up to the charging mammoth. Quickly she raised the sharp edges of what was left of the glass to his throat, "If you'd like to come a little closer, be my guest."

Warren was just about to make his move when he glanced over and seen the young woman advance on Axel. "hmm she's pretty fierce,impressive" he said to himself. Axel stopped instantly as he seen the glass towards his throat "grrr...using a weapon huh..." Axel grunted moving back a step. "Come on War getting a girl to fight for you is pathetic!" Axel shouted trying to fire Warren up for battle.

Warren laughed a bit and walked around the bar counter towards Axel and the young woman "haha you maybe right but being beat by one can bit a bit more dont you think?" he said as he stopped next to the young woman and whispered "no offense miss and thank you you didnt have to get invovled i couldve handled him" he said as hesmiled at her then looked back at Axel. "well I think it is time you left Axel and dont come back starting trouble or you wont walk out of here next time" Warren said forcefully. Axel grew angrier and threw a cross towards Warren but failed to connect as Warren blocked his attack then wrapped his arm around Axel's and locked it "you just dont listen do you?" Warren said.

Axel evidently underestimated Iveth, but she quickly decided to disregard it, wouldn't be worth her time. She already smelled like alcohol. Imagine how bad it would be to have bloodied knuckles to add to it.

Her grip loosened on the broken wine glass as she flicked her eyes back to the bartender who had stepped in. She gave him a single nod in response, "Not a problem." With that she returned to her seat, sliding the broken glass onto the counter though her eyes remained on the two. As the bartender was adroit to set the man in his place she grinned. His martial arts must've paid off.

Now that the young woman had cleared the way Axel tried to take this opportunity and attack Warren. Axel pulled his caught arm back towards himself as the threw a heavy left hook. Warren still holding Axel's right arm tightened his lock and block the hook, retaliating with a swift right cross to Axel's nose. In a blink of an eye Warren broke Axels nose and blood flowed uncontrollably from it. "ahhh dammit *pant pant* you'll pay you bastard!" Axel roars as he head-butts Warren and forces him back but still relentlessly holding on to Axel's arm. "Ughh... nice one....but it wont stop me" Warren said calmly as he then pulled Axels arm in as he threw another cross but landing in the stomach. Axel loses his breath and bend over Warrens fist. Warren then releases Axels arm and watches him stumble back a few steps in front of the open door he barged through earlier. Warren then clinches his right hand and widens his stance ready to attack. "You lose...again" Warren says as he then dashes towards Axel as he is holding his stomach and throws a vicious straight to Axels jaw sending him outside into the snow covered sidewalk.

As Axel lays there unconscious, Warren grabs Axels coat and throws it on top of him. "Maybe one day Axel" he whispers to himself and the closes the door. Warren then walks back behind the bar and cleans the broken glass.

There were a few moments where she wanted to hop out of her seat, but the bartender had proven to be holding himself up pretty well from what she could see. Every now and then she wanted to call out what do next, predicting Axel's movements however the bartender still had it all under his thumb. She felt somewhat relieved when she saw he had finally rid the bar of Axel and she supposed he must've done this before. It almost seemed like entertainment, well, to her eyes it was. Who would want to miss out seeing a nice showdown?

Iveth stared at him as he came around the bar again and began to pick up her mess, soon realizing that she should be helping. She did break the glass after all. Quickly she began to pick the shattered pieces from the counter, apologizing, "Sorry. I didn't mean to break it."

Warren shook his head with a smile "What? no its fine I thought that was cool. Not to many women jump into a fight so quickly around here. It was awesome to see a female fighter in action haha." he then collected the rest of the broken glass off the counter and floor. "Besides I should be apologizing to you for dragging you into that confrontation." he said with a smile and scratching his head and then wiped down the counters. The other customers began to relax and took their seats and continued to talk amongst themselves and drink. "So can I have your name miss since you just help me out" he asked with a smile and his green eyes focused on her curiously.

She returned the smile and set her elbows on the counter once it was wiped down, "Honestly I take every chance I get to get into one. What else did I train for?" A throaty chuckle escaped her as she settled back in her seat, glancing over at the door wondering of Axel was still out before she brought herself back to the bartender when he asked her name. "Iveth," her voice was a bit deep, but not to much to scare anyone away. She pushed a curl or two away from her eyes, "You did good out there. Maybe we can spar sometime. So, what's your name?"

"haha its nice to see someone else with passion around her for once" he exclaimed. Warren then put his towel away after cleaning everything and grabbed a glass for himself and poured a beer for him to drink. Other customers were starting to finish up their drinks and conversations and one after another began to leave. "See ya next time Warren, maybe one day that man will learn" a regular custom said as warren responded only with a smile and a wave. Warren then took a sip of his beer and looked at Iveth "Iveth huh? unique. Im Warren, Warren Haze its very nice to meet you." he said with a smile as he then took another sip of his drink. "ahh that's good and as for sparring you Iveth...I think it would be a lot of fun."
