Have your characters got what it takes to survive the most grueling challenge in the universe!?! Are you ready for the fight of their lives in a contest that puts both their fighting skills and cooperation to the ultimate test!?! Well wait no longer, for the Taffy Tournament of Power has returned to a universe near you!!
Just submit a team of five (5) high power-leveled characters and see if they can stand up to my crazy, messed up warriors!!
Here are the official rules:
1: Participants face off in a battle royal (everyone fights at once), and the last team standing wins the grand prize of absolutely anything the mighty and magnificent magical might of Taffy the genie can grant!
2. Fighters are eliminated by ring-out and ring-out only! Killing of your opponent is punishable by elimination and merciless beatings by forces beyond their comprehension!
3. No weapons allowed, unless the great and power Taffy herself decides to make an arbitrary exception!
4. Each fighter is allowed one snack and one drink from the concessions stand in the middle of the arena. No more!
5. And finally, no gods need apply for the tournament. They may watch and make color commentary but are not allowed to participate or interfere.
Think you're team's got what it takes to take home the grand prize!? Then bring 'em on down! Who knows? We might have an actual winner this time! (Seriously, the last time the fighters crumbled the arenal to gravel, and it was impossible to tell who won)
Technical stuff:
The battle flow will be as follows: each of our starting posts will describe our teams beating up a team of NPCs so that we both get a taste for how the other operates on a meta level. This will show us who the "heavyweights" of each team are.
Then we'll throw one or two members of our respective teams against each other a little at a time.
Also, for convenience sake, I ask that this be a one-on-one RP where each player controls five participating characters. This can be held in a public forum or in the PMs.
Fights will be decided from a combination of "heavyweights" beating "lightweights," brains beating brawn (usually), and dramatic moments beating everything! In short, it'll be a glorious hot mess, and I love it!
Any race can apply so long as they can keep pace with big explosions and superhuman stuff!
Finally, I do ask for a fair amount of writing skill. Full sentences, paragraph format, and the ability to follow the flow of a fight. Posts don't have to be long, but they have to logically flow from one the the next.

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (faster than light)
The RP is entirely based around combat and nothing else, such as an arena where nothing else happens.
Romance isn't outright desired, but can happen if we decide the characters are perfect for each other. The romance won't be important to the overall plot.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, one-off scene. Will be played one-on-one.
