There was something to be said about working on and with highly advanced technology for a living. Except for being stuck on a back water research station for the sake of 'secrecy', the only other habitable places being the nearby military station and the colony on the planet below, all of it back water, and all of it giving her a reason to punch whoever made the decision to have her come all the way out here.
At least she had her choice of rooms, which ever dull grey room she wanted! The only one on station so far. Somebody else was suppose to be arriving soon. she sighs while thinking they need to hurry up and arrive.
Floating in the docking bay comm room next to a small tiger plushie she sighs "Closest room to the labs. Got everything settled in and set up. yet we are the only ones here so far...Whoever they send better be somewhat lively or I'll begin to think this is some kind of punishment. You know what I mean Mr. Juggles?" so here she was, a brilliant scientist talking to a tiger plushie while just waiting. she was sure it was going to lead to something great...not.

Meanwhile, on the Starship the USS Phoenix traveling at warp speed nearby.
Captain Robert looked around proudly from his seat at the center of the ship's bridge as his command crew worked diligently. His ship, the Phoenix, had everything the the Council of Earth saw fit to provide it. Advanced labs, powerful weapons, and excellent recreational faculties for his crew's off-hours.
He stood up and walked over to the ship's helmsman, a very young and inexperienced boy fresh out of the academy who glanced up to his captain nervously.
"Sir?"
"How's the ship handling?" Robert asked to man.
"Fairly well, sir." The helmsman said. "We should be arriving at our destination shortly."
"Excellent." Robert returned to his seat and looked at the main veiwscreen. Stars whizzed pass as the ship continued on it's course at warp speed. "Excellent indeed."

Xan redircted his ship again. The GPS was off again. That, or his mask was keeping him from seeing directly. His smaller ship slowed down as it approached the larger one. "Permission to dock?" He asked over the radio.
