There was absolutely no hesitation in his offering, a genial hand extended, his stance exuding a discernible self-assurance. Lex's face wore a smile that even managed to reach his otherwise steely, viridian eyes. He would cordially offer the other a firm, businessman's handshake.
"Let your handshake be a greater bond than any written contract," he quoted, his words softly spoken. "A nonverbal signal of greeting, as it were, a show of trust, perhaps even respect, but more importantly, a connection."
Lex's smile fell once he severed the connection. "Formalities aside, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Harley excitedly ran towards Lex with her arms wide open, then stopped and extended a hand into the air.
"Oh right, ya don't like bein' touched. So uh, high-five it is!"

Kai narrowed his eyes in mild suspicion, and spent several moments just... Considering. Then, he abruptly shrugged and held his arms out. "I'll give you a hug, if you want!"
"Awwww... The person above me doesn't even exist anymore..." Lacey put on an exaggerated pout, but just as quickly, it was gone and they were beaming. "Well, whatevs! I'll hug the empty spot that's left behind and wait for someone else to show up!"
“Aww, you want a hug with me ☺️”
the mute bleater runs up to the deer and hugs her
"Well aren't you precious!" Bruce exclaimed, reaching out with an open palm. "Because consent is a thing, we're going to go with a high-five -- that is if you want to. Either way."
Harley grabbed Bruce from behind in a huge bear hug.
"BRUCE!!! Don't act like ya ain't happy ta see me!"
Obviously hug!

Lex watched with a somewhat pinched expression as Harley decided it was in her best interest to manhandle the other billionaire. He secretly hoped the jester's presence was as grating to Wayne as she had previously been to LexCorp's CEO.
"I'm sure he's positively thrilled to see you," he stated, his tone lukewarm at best. "Especially after the whole drink incident with the party hat and the poor thing out in the cold in nothing but his unmentionables..."
Clearly, there was absolutely no concern resonating in his voice as he spoke, Lex's verdant gaze fixed on the two before him impassively. He crossed his arms over his chest, highly considering just walking away at this point, but then a thought occurred to him, and he extended a hand to Harleen. He then offered her a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.
"How goes the reformation, Ms. Quinzel? Have the capes turned on you yet?" He made an effort to be a bit more amicable, but Lex Luthor was notoriously anything but. "You know where to find me not if, but when they decide the effort wasn't worth it. I'll be waiting."

Jonas was never one to be formal, much less kind to people he didn’t know. Don’t get it wrong, he won’t outwardly insult a person, but what reason is there to be kind to a stranger? Politeness? Well, where does politeness stem from? First impressions mean very little to him, he doubts he will ever see that person again. There are 8 billion people on the planet and somehow he needs to be polite to everyone he manages to talk to? The very thought exhausted him.
Yet the man in front of him felt familiar. No, Jonas didn’t know him, he’d know if he knew someone so imposing… instead, it felt like his eyes just had that same ‘unapologetic uncaring’ glint he saw in the mirror every day. Something in his gut, call it intuition or luck he doesn’t care, told him to maybe play it a little bit nicer.
He jutted out his hand in a handshake. His voice was monotone, his eyebrows pinched together as he studied the man in front of him. He would be a good character in his next novel… maybe it would be best to search for some inspiration in him. “Hi. Jonas Scarberry.”

"You don't really look very friendly... Or touchy." Lacey observed neutrally, peering up at the guy before them. They raised one hand. "How about a high-five? Should be the quickest option, so you can get outta here if you want."
