Kenneth was walking with a bag of sandwiches on his shoulder. It was a little weird if you didn't know where he was going or why he was carrying a bag filled with nothing but sandwiches, but it was his job. He was a page at NBC (specifically for TGS) and the writers and actors had wanted sandwiches that day. Kenneth was merely doing his duty as a page.

He was taking care to not slip on any of the ice on the pavement, knowing that they didn't like crushed sandwiches, but he was so enveloped in watching the ground under his feet that he didn't notice the girl hurtling towards him at high speed; evidently she didn't notice him either because they ended up colliding, spewing sandwiches everywhere like an exploding volcano.

"OH, NERDS!" he cried in a startled manner, flailing around for a moment before finally getting his feet back under him. "Oh, dear- ma'am, are you alright?" He offered her a hand, looking rather concerned about her and also about the sandwiches. It looked like he'd have to go back and redo the order.

Amaya's heart pounds as she sits on the cold, hard ground. The diamond in her pocket suddenly seemed to weigh a TON! She glares up at the man before her. "Hey! What's your problem, are you an idiot or somethin'? Can't you move out of the.... "Hey! You there! Stop" uh-oh. At the sound of the guards voices, she springs to her feet.

"Don't just stand there... RUN!" Amaya grabs his wrist, and sprints across the ground, the ice melting as soon as her feet touched it. Skidding to a stop, she rounds a corner into a dark ally, where she recedes into the shadows. Panting, she turns her gaze on the man before her silently.

Kenneth didn't have any time to say anything before the girl grabbed his wrist and the two of them were whisking down the sidewalk away from their pursuers. He was awfully confused about this whole thing and when they finally stopped he leaned on his knees to catch his breath, straightening his tie and page jacket once he had recovered fully.

"What was that all about?" he asked, standing up straight again. "Ma'am, are you in trouble with someone? Because if you are I can help." It hadn't even crossed his mind that she might've been the one to do something wrong; if she had been bad she probably would've left him there and kept running by herself.

Amaya stares up at the man, automatically weary of this man. Who is he? Why did she grab him and then run...?
"I'm... Amaya. And uh, they were just chasing me for this." Amaya pulls the diamond from her pocket, and shows it to him. "They want to steal it from me. Will you help me?

Kenneth's characteristic smile came back when he saw the diamond. "My, that certainly is a beautiful diamond! It is sad that there are evil people who want to steal it. Don't worry, Miss Amaya, I shall help you keep it safe, because it is much too pretty to be in the hands of wrongdoers. Come along." He gestured at her to follow him as he cautiously peeked out of the alley to make sure he didn't run into anyone else before setting off down the sidewalk back to NBC, making sure she was either following him or walking next to him. He wanted to be there in case she got 'attacked' again.

"You should be safe at NBC for now," he told her as he waited to cross the street to get back to his workplace. "There are lots of good people there and any robber would be a fool to try to take it then."
