A: Skies thunder and crash. A restless night, only the moon and stars light the area while the wind slams against Your characters back. When the sky lights up and thunder silences the wind rain begins to blanket to the ground. Your character see's a large mansion, unkept and doors wide open, appearing long-abandoned. They rush inside for safety from the rain only to realize the inside is surprisingly well-kept. Aside from burnt-out candles.
B: Your character Is dared(Maybe forced) to enter the mansion despite how it looks, When they get in, the doors slam shut on them only for them to turn around and realize the place doesn't look abandoned from the inside at all. then creaky floorboard is heard from a door near the two sets of large stairs.

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?

Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
Some romance is possible, but the overall plot is more important.
