There are many stories about the great hunters, dating all the way back to the time of the pyramids. Tales of killing mercilessly, tales of choosing any and all sentient life as their pray, tales of monsters wielding deadly weapons of war.
But there aren’t many tales of a hunter quite like this one…
Hello! I would love to get into a sci-fi action/adventure rp with my new Yautja character, Kor’Vuk. If you’re not familiar with the term Yautja, they are the titular predators from the predator franchise, though he’s not quite like his, admittedly, more villainous kin that we’re used to.
If you’re not familiar with the predator universe, that is absolutely not a problem, I just want this to he a really loose and creative sci-fi setting.
A few prompts to build from:
- residents of an expensive resort on a barely tamed jungle planet have been suffering attacks from a strange creature unlike anything seen from the planet’s ecosystem. With three clients now dead, each killed brutally by the beast, you have been hired alongside a Yautja hunter to track the origins of this creature and terminate it. However, as you delve deeper into the jungle alongside your bee companion, you begin to learn that not all is as it seems.
- Infinitora is one of the most successful, unrivaled mega corporations in the universe, providing products, services, and “employment” of all kinds across hundreds of thousands of systems. Unfortunately, they’re also severely corrupt. For whatever reason, they’ve put you in one of their personal jails. But all hope is not lost. Your neighbor, an imprisoned Yautja, offers escape if you work together. However things aren’t simple. There are whispers among prisoners, guards, and employees alike of something called “Project Jormungander” and it becomes clear that whole galaxies may be at risk.
- not hours after you’ve been captured by bandits on a hostile world, and unseen adversary sets upon their compound in the night, clearing their forces in no time. The thing reveals itself to you and offers you and your fellow captives, freedom, asking nothing in return. However, it does offer you a ride off the planet as well.

Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Far future, perhaps galactic teleporters and fast terraforming
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Romance isn't outright desired, but can happen if we decide the characters are perfect for each other. The romance won't be important to the overall plot.
