Hello! I'm new to this forum but have some experience with being a gamemaster and have together with a friend created a rather dark sci-fi universe which I thought would be a pleasent thing to share.

So I've made a group with my limited knowledge, were I've collected the essential facts and background for the RP to work.

First off to know about it is that I want to have a rather tight grip on ones character. But instead of classes I tend to use archetypes, in this case it leans more towards what kind of combat or connections one have to the world. In simpler terms: I want to know what the character is good and bad at, pretty standard for most roleplays. This is to make me able to tailor a situation and keep control over how your characters actions affect the scene. An example would be that a character focused on hacking or pickpocketing cannot shot someone efficiently.

The universe in which my brain-child of an RP takes place in has a pretty vast backstory with a large amount of established situations, characters and factions. However, I've also made it able to be open for personal backstories for one's character. Just no "he/she/it came from once the greatest empire ever". The superpowers in the 'verse are already established.

Your characters are more akin to a ragtag bunch of misfits or adventurers and range from assassins to mercenaries to hackers, rouge spies, unhired bodyguards and hitmen.

I could use my character Artemis for this, but I'd have to ask something first. F.I.S.T. Corps is a building company, its only military is fairly small, and are only used to protect their workers. Would they still be allowed for Artemis' background?

I'd be interested, though the character I'd like to use is a Mech built by an ancient mepire. Would he work?

Definitely! Actually it fits quite well with the established backstory.

It would be plausible. Though by the setting, the empire would be more or less a minor faction. Though since minor factions are constantly at war or swallowed by stronger foes it fits in. So yeah, it would work.

Well that empire is actually gone IDK if the races that made it up are still alive or if they were whiped out but yeah. Regardlass the empire has been destroyed more or less.

Still works! Having an android as a character is no problem as one of the first character I'll think of introducing is a 500 year old AI.

Dark RP? I'll fit right in.

Yeah, think along the lines of a highly cynical world were death is cheaper than life. Constantly warring factions, two superpowers both equally corrupted and at the fringes there are semi-religious cyborgs lobotomizing and converting people against their will while unearthed relics turn people into zombies.

One. At least at the start. Might make it to two, it depends on how it works.

If you are still interested in adding players, this one is a bit unique. He's a blind ex scoutship pilot. Intelligence and able to continue piloting due to a hovering metallic sphere that stays next to his head and beams information directly to his head from a ship's targeting system. Not a fighter though. Just a pilot.

Sorry, for the late reply. I've been busy. But yeah, I'm planning to have it up and running soon. Today I'll see if I can get up a small "semi-wiki" for information about the verse the RP takes part in.
