You're strolling across town; it's already noon and almost nothing exciting has actually happened. As you were thinking this, a flyer from a nearby sign-post detaches itself from it, and flies towards your face at an incredible speed. The next thing you know, your face is entirely covered by the paper. As you remove the flyer from your face, you could see its contents. On the front, was a boy, one wearing some sort of armor and was wearing a strange-looking mask, one that you haven't seen before. Below the young lad, some text reading:
Blah, blah, blah... Jesus Christ, this flyer is long-winded... You could've thrown the piece of paper away, or at least recycle it, if it wasn't for the fact that the phrases "Looking for literally anyone!" and "HELP SAVE THE WORLD!" caught your eye. Overall, this sounds incredibly important. You skim over everything else in the flyer, finding the address. All that's left is to decide whether or not to just walk up to this kid's house and convince him to let you in this..."super-secret organization."

Magic is rare. Some of the players might have it. There may be sages or other magical figures that could be sought out for tutelage.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Wartime/soldier RPs. Combat is a given and will likely be graphic, but there's the potential for non-combat "in the trenches" scenes. World War 2, Vietnam, etc.
