I'm new at this site and it's been a while since I've rp'ed. English isn't my first language, so this is also my first time roleplaying in English.
I want to start off with a simple roleplay, that can grow larger and more challenging later on. I already have a character named Daron, though I'm not used to making the characters before figuring out what the roleplay is about. I would like to use Daron in this roleplay and when it's been planned out, I'll make his character properly.
I prefer when there's some sort of magic in the roleplay that gets the plot going, but a roleplay in medieval times can be too challenging for a first time English-roleplayer.
Maybe a sort of roleplay in modern time where one person is a human and the other is some sort of magical creature or possesses some sort of hidden magic, that affects the human's life. I would like to play as Daron but he can be both human or magical, that's up to you what you would find funniest to play yourself.

Magic is rare. Some of the players might have it. There may be sages or other magical figures that could be sought out for tutelage.
Modern
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
Welcome! I'm not far off from being new in this site since I only joined three weeks ago. Not sure where to begin this introduction. Hey there! Looks like you're already getting a number of responses, but I thought I'd through myself up as an option as well (though learning alongside someone you can share both English and your native language with might be best, if it's an option). I'd be happy to offer tips and such as we play as well, if you'd like, or to answer whatever questions come up.
I mostly do a range of fantasy, and my "medieval" tends to be a bit lax, mostly only getting as in-depth as my partner would like it to be. I have characters that can work both past and present, though. Most of my characters aren't 100% "normal" human, but I am flexible.
I'm not sure if you have your character set to anonymous or if you simply haven't added him to the site yet. I'd like to know a little more about him, though.
