The sun rises over a great battlefield. Birds fill the air and feast upon the numerous dead that litter the ground. A fog still hangs over the land as the sun continues to rise in the sky. How many dead there are is unknowable, and as you make your way through over the blood stained ground, a hand grabs hold of your leg. It is covered in blood, and belongs to a young man. He is injured, but alive, and barely conscious. As the only apparent survivor he could be your only key to answers you seek as to what truly happened here.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Renaissance
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
