An unknown number of decades later...

It had been many decades since this wasteland of a world was inhabited. Many decades since the ruins that were once a lab were laid to waste for a reason long forgotten. This ball of barely habitable rock offered neither mineral nor foliage, kept breathable only by fragile machinery fast approaching its demise. Whoever had lived here clearly had no existence beyond the crumbling facility that alone offered feature to this otherwise barren planet; the rest of the world lying untouched, perhaps mostly because it was not worth touching. But although the ruins hinted at abandonment; power, energy and air offered short-term haven. It would be the place to go for anyone stumbling across this featureless hell.

Beside the complex was what appeared to be a heavily-damaged landing pad, with a closed-off hangar perched to one side; itself relatively untouched by catastrophe. Given the damage and sign of either struggle or demolition across the rest of the facility, it was quite probable that the hangar was occupied by at most a small transport ship or gunship.

This world was known by many things in many languages by many species; but there was not one case of a colloquial name. Hz'kzshash VII. 04-1286-HDM. LMV-Cazrggyr. Examples of a long list of uncaring, soulless designations. A piece of mere data. Worthless in every way except as a lifeless retreat. But even pirates stayed clear of this rock; with the relative proximity to a handy nebula, a deadly asteroid field and a number of far more cavernous worlds, this place meant nothing to nobody. It was hard to imagine that an as of yet unborn creature lay in suspension within it all. A creature paused in its maturation, frozen mid-development since the closure of what could crudely be called its home. Separated from its purpose, clueless of its ancestry, it waited to be awoken.

It waited to be born.

Now crash landed on the planet, a stranger emerges from their ruined vessel. With the air around them too toxic for long-term survival, their only option is to take shelter within the nearby abandoned complex. But perhaps it is there that they will find their way off the planet... and maybe make a new friend along the way.

Looking for partners for a 1x1 roleplay beginning on a ruined planet where my character (a dormant child-like life-form) is waiting to awaken.

This is actually on old scenario I once RPed a few years back that I quite liked so I'm starting it up again, maybe with a few changes.

Both on account of my character's physical age and my own personal RP preferences, anything romance-based or sexual is not acceptable.

Players aged 16+ are preferred.

Sounds fine enough. Though much of the early part of the RP will be based around escaping an abandoned planet and getting to grips with the functions of an alien spacecraft. So there won't be much space for breathing fire and growing to a gigantic size for a while, at least until other planets are found.

But I'll repost it in a PM first so that it's in the same place as all the other IC stuff. You can then reply to that.

I'll omit the final paragraph though so you can describe your character's arrival on the planet yourself. It doesn't have to be a straight-up crash if you want to change that part; I just want it to be the case that the plot relies on the (initially undiscovered) alien spaceship parked at the facility being the only way off the planet. Mostly because I've put a fair amount of effort into designing the ship.

I also prefer pm's, it feels a lot more organized than forums. Looking forward to it! Is there anything I need to change about my character for this specific RP?

I don't see any issues. If you're all set, I'll send the intro as a PM with the last paragraph removed so you can describe your character's arrival on the planet in your own words.

I've recently renewed the ad, so yeah, still active.

I have one concern though. And that's the age gap. I've recently taken to putting up a soft cut-off point at players aged 16+ (that limit isn't reflected in some of my older threads from before I put it in place). It's soft as in I could make exceptions, depending on circumstances. It's more comfort-related than anything else, as I'm in my 20s. If you still want to do this scenario despite all this, then I could potentially accommodate that; but there will have to be some extra limits in place.

I don't mind, I've RP-ed with persons aged up to 26 before. It doesn't bother me. However, if it causes you or any other players discomfort or prevents you from enjoying the RP to it's full potential, then I'm ok with not joining. I don't want to ruin the fun for you guys.

This is a one-on-one scenario (that I've done multiple times in the past with different partners), so there's no group to worry about.

But as I said, it's a soft limit, mostly to dissuade younger players who either lack maturity or would be put off by a mid-twenties partner. If you're still fine with the age gap, we can try this out; though the extra limits include doing it on the public forum and a reduction of some themes such as gore.

Hey i would love to join this as my character Remnant, his bio and story do not show all of his character and its a nice surprise as you get to piece together what it's like.
