The road East is long and arduous, and those traveling it are wise to join one of the large caravans that frequent the trail. Here members of all social classes travel in close proximity to deter bandits and barter between themselves for the supplies they lack. There are many reasons for the journey East, be it politics, trade, work, or even fleeing from justice. Each member of the caravansary has their own reasons, whether they share them or not.
I will be playing Evan Gale (aka Disciple of Storms), a storm Mage from a Northern Kingdom in search of information on a precious artifact. I invite a wide variety of others to join him and the caravan. I just ask that characters be compatible with one another. A demon trying to destroy the world or a psychopathic killer preying on the caravan members are more of a plot instance, not characters that I am looking to join. Powerful characters may also be on the line, since defeating a bandit brigade or stopping an avalanche with a snap of fingers or wave of hands may diminish some of the RP possibilities.
I am only looking for one other, but am not against doing a group of 3 for this. I would prefer other caravan members to be NPCs controlled jointly by the players.

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.

Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
