Manor Hafan Gwyrdd - Greenhaven Manor - once belonged to a rich family. Some unknown tragedy resulted in their deaths, and as a result the manor's ownership changed hands. Due to its size and remote location in rural north Wales, the building became a mental asylum, extensive basement facilities built under the mansion to house and 'cure' those diagnosed as 'insane' by crude early medical practices. As such practices were phased out as medicine became more civilised, the asylum was no longer needed, and the manor once again found itself on the property market. But it did not sit in any one owner's hands for long - each time it changed ownership, more tales of strange paranormal happenings came about.

It is now modern day, and the manor has come under ownership of your character. Little do they know that the manor is haunted by the ghost of a thirteen-year-old boy, child of the original family who lived there before the building became an asylum. But that is not the full extent of the mystery of this place. Deep inside the 'basement', behind the securely sealed steel door, something stirs...

So.... who wants to investigate a haunted house with the help of a ghost who lives there?

- I'll be playing the ghost of my character Tym. Without much of his magic (though some of his abilities exist as supernatural ghostly abilities); and naturally with more period-fitting clothing and glasses.

- The setting is normal modern real-world, though much of the décor of the house will be victorian-era.

- 1-on-1 format (this will not be a group RP)

- No sexual content

- Horror themes will be present, mostly psychological and paranormal

I've now compiled a floor plan of the mansion. Room descriptions in brackets mean the room isn't currently set to that configuration (either due to being changed during the time as an asylum or changed back after it became a residence again).

I dunno if you mean join as a group, because I'm not doing this as a group RP (I've had quite low success rates with groups on this site, so I'd rather not risk getting involved with yet another group that doesn't last). But I could probably have another 1-on-1 RP with this idea. Depends if you have a character in mind for using, and what character that is (I'm not hugely picky for this scenario, beside some obvious requirements such as the character either being an adult or being accompanied by one so that owning the house actually makes sense).

Hey, if you're open to doing another 1-on-1 for this, I think Andras would be a nice fit, seeing as he is Welsh and already has a connection to the supernatural

Hmm... depends, really. The only magic in this setting is that based around spirits and their natural abilities. There might be demons and rituals and stuff (I haven't decided), but nothing particularly outside of usual horror tropes. So it really depends on whether you're willing to go without the magic aspect of your character's biography.
