Izzaliah watched as the rider landed in a very clumsy way. Her and Fëanor shared a look and the red dragon let out a snort of amusement, steam blasting from the red holes that were his nostrils Younglings! his rumbling voice echoed in her head. His expression said it all however as he playfully rolled his eyes.
Izzaliah went to go help the rider up, but was waved off. The woman watched the dragon. She had never seen such colors on a dragon like that before. "You have a beautiful companion." The female rider said. "Such interesting markings." She said eyeing the horns. "Very nice." She said.
Fëanor snorted and Izzaliah shot him a look. Be nice! she said to him through their telepathic connection. The large fierce red dragon rumbled and his ear flaps lay against his head. Fine. Thank heavens this is only for today. Then we get to be alone again. She heard him say in her head. Izzaliah gave her own companion a reassuring pat before returning to the other dragon rider. "My name is Izzaliah Lightwood and this is my dragon companion, Fëanor." She said with a small bow her eyes friendly.

Liege stood after collecting themself. Bowing in return, they responded politely, "A pleasure to meet to you, Izzaliah and Feanor. I'm addressed to as Liege. My shiny companion is Casey. He is beautiful, isn't he? Not one of many words, but a great listener." They reached up to the dragons face to play with her features, squishing the golden cheeks and lifting up her lips to expose sharp teeth. Casey didn't seem to mind Liege's poking and pulling of her face. There a good chance that she had experienced it many times before.

After a minute, Liege stopped to turn back to the other pair. Their bright yellow eyes studied the crimson dragon all the way up to his glowing eyes. It wasn't the most friendly looking face a dragon can where. Being polite though was something Liege tried to do with everyone. "Your dragon is...." they paused for a second, trying to think of what to say "....honorable. Like a heroic knight in armor. Strong. Ready to defend. Er- you are the only one who is here so far? I came early, but I didn't think it would take so long for others to arrive. It seems like every year there are less and less who show up." The elf crossed their arms as their eyes fell to the ground. Worry was spread across their face at the statement.

Casey stared at Feanor with interest after being let go. He didn't pay any mind to what the riders were talking about. Instead, the golden dragon scooted closer and stretched forward to sniff Feanor's shoulder.

Faenor eyed the elf with a yellow-golden colored eye. Smooth... Izzaliah heard him rumble. She had to hide her eye roll to her dragons comment."Thank you very much." She replied to the elf. Faenor saw the other dragon sniff at him. He had to stop himself from jerking back. The large red dragon dipped his head respectfully and touched his nose to the other dragons shoulder.

Liege watched Faenor and Casey as the gold dragon followed the red one's lead. "Casey hasn't been around many other dragons," the elf explained. "My caregivers found her as an egg so she kind of grew up with me. I think these meetings were the only times we've met other dragons."

Casey turned and licked Liege's face, leaving a trail of slobber that made a few loose hairs stick up. Liege didn't seem disgusted. Instead, they laughed loudly before licking their dragon's nose back playfully.

Well aren't we proud! Izzaliah thought to herself at the last comment after Izzaliah complimented the elfs dragon. Faenor snorted and lowered his head at his riders level arching his neck around to her other side almost giving off a slightly protective stance. The red dragon nuzzled his snout into his riders body. Izzaliah raised an eyebrow at the licking. Faenor let out a rumbled snort. Izzaliah eyed him. "Faenors mother chose me before he was hatched. It's considered a great honor. Very rare." She said and her dragon nuzzled her again with a proud air. "I hatched him after she left. "

The frigid air around him was kept marginally at bay by Sheralia as she flew. The payoff of their flight came into view rather quickly. They saw that two riders were already conversing as he had predicted.

Take us down.

Of course.

Sheralia began to descend towards the entrance of the meeting place with Arzenalus watching the other two riders closely. He was interested in seeing how much support he could leverage from these two riders to further his own goals.

Sheralia landed with a slight plume of fog, her blue scales illuminated by the various lights around them. Arzenalus' eyes roved the area, taking in all the details.

((I thought Izz would want to answer first but I guess not))

Casey heard the pair land outside the cave. The golden dragon lifted his head in interest. Liege noticed it. "You see something gal," they called, not as a question, but an exclamation of excitement. Casey stood up and headed outside the cave. "HEY! Wait for me!" Liege darted to the dragon and launched themself at his butt, managing to land on the snake like tail. They held on for the short ride.

Once outside, the newcomers could see clearly the golden dragon as it approached with obvious curiosity. A small call from behind him made him turn and lift his tail. A strange, green-haired elf hung from the glistening tail like a monkey would hang from a tree. "Hello!" they squealed childishly. "Oh by the crowning, we're going to make a few friends today, Casey. I'm Liege. This is my scaly best friend, Casey. It's so nice to meet you!" Casey simply bowed his head slightly to the newcomers.

(Sorry! Today is my birthday! So active!)| Izzaliah heard the flap of wings as she was about to speak. Faenor arched his neck and saw the new rider. He wrapped his tail protectively around his rider. She patted his neck. Together they walked out. "Greeting." The rider said dipping her head respectfully, her dragon doing the same.

"Greetings riders." He said, looking between Liege and Izzaliah. He swiftly dismounted the well hidden saddle that lay upon Sheralia's back.

"I am Arzenalus Eldreanore and this is my companion dragon, Sheralia." He said, laying a hand on Sheralia's neck. Sheralia looked between Liege and Izzaliah with an inquisitive gaze.

The Elven one is rather unusual, quite childlike.

Yes, but the lady here is much more formal, better suited for diplomatic meetings.

"It's nice to meet you both." Izzaliah said. "I am Izzaliah Lightwood and this Faenor." She said gesturing to the fierce red dragon behind her. Faenor gave a snort, steam shooting out his nostrils-a hello. They are interesting. His voice in Izzaliahs mind. She glanced at him quickly. "So where are you from?" She asked the new comers looking at them once more.

"I am currently acting as the ambassador to a somewhat distant kingdom. I was hoping to barter information here on this kingdom so that we have leverage in the upcoming negotiations." Arzenalus said formally.

Sheralia gently nudged Arzenalus' shoulder and he responded by laying a comforting hand on her neck.

You need not reveal so much, they appear to be young in comparison to us.

Negotiations between the two kingdoms are beginning to degrade. Being upfront will allow us to gain a marginally greater amount of information. I'd rather not let the two kingdoms wage war before preparations are complete.

Sheralia raised her head and gazed at Faenor before giving a respectful bow.

"I'm also here to discuss a recent incident involving various dragon riders around in multiple distant kingdoms." He said, his dark green eyes looking between Izzaliah and Faenor.

Izzaliah and Faenor glanced at each other before back at the newcomers. "What kind of information?" Izzaliah asked. The dragon rider felt the hair on the back of her neck rise. "We dragon riders usually keep to ourselves. Faenor and I have helped towns and people when we find others in need." She explained. Faenor snorted. We're kind of a legend. They call you the Fire Kissed Lady and Lady Flame. Faenor rumbled. Izzaliah shot a glance to him. She then glanced at the ambassador. "How long have you been in the area?" She asked.

Liege dropped from Casey's tail. They threw their green ponytail over their shoulder. "If I may interject, I actually came here with the same questions. I knew a small group of dragon riders that would occasionally stop by my kingdom when they needed supplies. I haven't seen them in maybe a decade."

Casey snorted in Liege's face, blowing their hair back. The elf nodded in response. "Right," Liege turned back this time addressing Arzenalus alone. "I'm the leader of the Auraleus Kingdom to the far southwest. Perhaps there's something I can do about these 'upcoming negotiations'." The yellow eyes blinked, clearly suspecting that there might be more to that.

"I've been in the area for about 3 years now, gathering information on this kingdom. What I am interested in learning now is the military strength of this kingdom." He said before looking over and addressing Liege.

"I know of the group you speak of. I had last seen them about 4 years before starting my studies in this kingdom. They were in search of supplies for a long journey. They refrained from informing me as to where the journey would take them." He looked off into the distance after speaking.

Sheralia moved her wing to shield Arzenalus from a gust of frigid wind.

"Allow us to move this discussion into the meeting room. This weather is most unruly, even for Sheralia here." He said before entering the cave that led to the meeting place.

If he is the leader of Auraleus, then we may be have gotten a better deal than we initially thought.

Agreed. But we must be careful not to offend them. Negotiations with a nation leader are not trivial in the slightest.

Once Arzenalus and Sheralia entered the cave, the weather outside suddenly became much more brutal. Winds picked up speed and the air became much colder. Sheralia remained near Arzenalus, mostly for comfort but also to be ready to protect him as per habit.

Izzaliah sighed for she was used to being left behind. Respectfully she stepped back letting the two riders pass by her. Faenor lowered his head to her level and raised a golden eye. So I'm assuming you won't be telling them your the princess of Sailgrenia? His voice rumbled in her head. She glanced at him and nodded. He snorted. Why?! He asked with a growl. Izzaliah while keeping an eye on the other riders whispered. "We are invisible rulers. Once they know they will treat me differently. I wish to see the truth. Now come." She said before following the two at a distance. Her own kingdom was a small island land with beautiful beaches and a fierce Navy.

"Military strength of this kingdom?" they pondered out loud as they followed the man into the cave. "I believe pacifism is the key to all human happiness. I don't involve myself with military assets of other kingdoms. Our kingdom keeps purely neutral grounds, trading with any who are interested in our unique native resources."

Casey, who had been staring out at the land and only now noticed the others going inside, trotted after them. He came up behind Liege before straining his neck over to sniff the blue dragon in interest. Liege nodded to their companion as if they were told something by the golden beast. In reality, there was no words exchanged between the two.

"Good point, Casey! We focus on magic studies, so we're not defenseless. We focus on schooling."
