A closed RP between met and Cookiesareyummie

Neil was not a picky man when it came to work. As long as he could easily stay under the radar he was willing to do a lot of things for money. So when he found a cleaning job that paid surprisingly well he jumped at the chance.
Now, Neil wasn't stupid, far from, so he knew something was up. He'd known cleaning ladies that did the job for a lousy 9 dollars an hour, so when a regular cleaning job was advertised as paying up to 22 dollars an hour, he didn't just smell a rat, he smelled the whole damn colony.
But he definitely needed the money and quite honestly, Neil had expected that, at worst, he'd just be spending more time on his knees than strictly necessary. He did not have that much dignity left either way, so that was something he could accept, though begrudgingly.

Neil was also not a superstitious man. So when it turned out that his juicy salary was thanks to the hotel providing genuine hauntings for those with a nice, fat wallet and a hunger for a wicked experience, the young man had needed a moment to adjust, though he handled it well. There had been multiple instances in Neil's life where he had been staring down the barrel of a gun, had to run for his life or do things that definitely messed with his moral compass; some ghost banging on the bathroom piping was not going to shake him up too much.
Or so he thought.
He'd barely been at the job for three weeks, quickly learning warding spells he had previously not even known were legit and cleaning things that made him wonder if the ghosts were really the ones that needed to be kept in check here, when he could swear the wardings were getting less and less effective. And he'd been right at that. One of his most frequent co-workers, an older Mexican woman who spoke broken English but seemed to know every trick in the supernatural book, had been muttering under her breath about it, cursing the Hotel owner who kept looking the other way, determined not to accept that his piggy bank was getting more and more dangerous, for guests and staff alike.
It was her who also seemed to be keeping a watchful eye on Neil, who wasn't quite sure how to deal with her protective nature, as he still didn't really feel threatened.

The real moment that Neil started to understand what he had gotten himself into, was when he arrived at work, at six AM, only to find about ten times the chaos the entities normally created. Doors slamming, stuff falling over and sometimes even getting damaged was all part of the experience, something the guests agreed to upon checking in, but this morning many rooms were chaos. The walk-in fridge had swung open and food was everywhere in the kitchen. Some guests left early, startled by the wild activity of that night. Some toilets had overflown, wallpaper had been scratched into, sometimes deep enough to leave scratches on the walls themselves. And as Neil and his team worked their hardest to get everything ready for the new guests checking in, Neil was repeatedly aware of eyes watching him, of temperatures suddenly dropping, of an unexplainable weight on his shoulders and of soft whispers that weren't even words.
But they managed to tidy up, just in time for the new guests to check in. Neil wiped the sweat off his forehead. His work-polo clung to his chest and despite him being quite athletic, he was exhausted all the same, as were the others. They exchanged glances as they picked up the last items in the lobby and saw new guests approaching: whatever had happened had only just begun, that much was certain.

Iavre took a deep sigh well arriving , she opend the door and she already understand why the hotel was expensive it was great and also old. The style she liked a bit creepy like in horror movies , but she loved horror movies so this place was great. And the stories afcourse , about the ghosts . People told her not to and her mother decide to a ritual of the internet to ‘protect her from evil spirits’ her mother was a bit overreacting that day since her mother never used internet but probably because she never left the house.

She wiped some mud of her Nike’s , what we’re comfortable shoes not that she cared that they were Nike’s she was not a type who cared about clothes . She smiled maybe she would stay longer here.

She noticed a man (Neil) “Can I ask something?” She didn’t wait for an awnser “Where is my room?”

A rather young girl approached him and Neil, who'd just taken a moment to comfortably stretch, looked puzzled for a moment.
He hesitated for a moment after her question. If the 'janitor' on his polo did not give away that he wasn't the check-in clerk, the sweat still trickling out of his hair and down his face might be an indicator. There were also dark sweat stains on the afore-mentioned polo and he decided he was going to grab a clean one later. He was going to reek by the end of the day if he kept walking around like this and it was barely 10 AM by now.
"Have you checked in already?" he asked, resisting the urge to ask if her mom and dad had maybe already done that. She did look young, but then again, once you got past twenty-six, every teenager looked young, even if they were already old enough to travel on their own.
A few more guests walked in and queued up in front of the desk. The clerk behind it shot Neil a sympathetic look. He briefly smiled back after which he returned his attention to the girl in front of him.

“Oh.” She scratched her head “Am I supposed to do that?” She didn’t slept in a hotel before without parents who would do all that stuff for her. “I should have learn more how a hotel works , now I am grateful for my parents .” She joked “They must have much brains to know this.” She giggled “I am Iavre , Iavre Genren.”

It took all Neil's patience (and some thoughts about his salary) to not roll his eyes. He wasn't good with the sheltered kind of people, never had been.
"Well, nice to meet you, Iavre," he said, in his best impersonation of a professional and not a thug with questionable moral standards who just took this job for easy money, "but the frontdesk is right over there," he gestured towards the desk, the clerk behind it and the slowly growing line of people in front of it, "and Aaron there behind it can walk you right through the process. I'll see you to your room after that if you need me."
What parent let their child travel alone without making sure they understood how any of this worked? Probably the same parent that let her son spiral out of control entirely, though, he realized and that almost made him smile.

She nod and after a while , she was in her new room , she sighed and wanna ask Neil but she did not know his name

She sighed “Dude from behave can you come to my room!” She shouted a bit awkwardly

She put some paper on her desk , so she could write a letter to her parents.

‘I am in a ghost hotel’

“No they will freak out .” She trow the letter on the ground.

By the time Iavre had gone to her room, Neil and his coworkers had put away the last remains of their frantic cleaning actions of that morning.
"Not great with teens, are you, Neil?" said Lucia Velasquez, a girl that did the job next to her robotics studies at the nearest university. Neil grinned.
"Did it show?"
"You really need to work on your customer service."
Their conversation was interrupted when Iavre asked him to come to her room. Lucia shot him a inquisitive look and Neil grinned.
"Don't worry, way too young for me," he said, after which he made his way to the girls room.
As he walked down the hall way he experienced the distinct sensation of someone watching him, but a quick glance over his shoulder taught him that if he was being watched, it wasn't human. He felt the hairs in his neck rise on end, but kept a straight face as he stepped into Iavre's room, casually leaning against the doorpost.
"You called?"
Now that he was out of the lobby, his tone was a little more indifferent, as there was no manager in sight. He let his eyes wander through the room and his gaze rested momentarily on the paper that was on the ground.
"Documenting the paranormal?" he said with a crooked grin.

“I try to write A correct letter , but as you can see I struggle .”

She put some books about ghost , spiritual stuff on her desk “But that’s not why o called you , d it true that this a ghost hotel?”

“I told my parents it was , to their reaction , my mother freaked out and start usuing internet for the first time to do a ritual with me , so I was protect from ‘Dark spirits ‘ “

In what world did you ask one of the cleaning crew for help on your letter, Neil wondered. But upon further thought, he didn't really care that much, so he just rolled with it.
He grinned when she asked about ghosts.
"Oh, yes," he replied nonchalantly. Even if he had not seen it himself, he would've said that, as it was one of the things he was briefed about: go along with the narrative. But he didn't have to act; he'd seen that shit himself.
"Place is packed with supernatural shit."
He studied her for a moment, his bright, blue eyes intent and a critical frown on his face. If she didn't know the state of this place, why did she come? The majority of the guests here were either paranormal hunters of some sort, bored rich people or college kids looking for a thrill and the one thing they usually had in common was that, to some degree at least, they knew what they were in for.
"Your parents had the right idea, though," he said, thinking of the very rituals he and his colleagues had to carry out on the daily. If only the people here knew. "Can't be too careful in places like these."

"No i think they are overeacting specially my mom."

"I hope to heara ghost today ."she grapped a notebook "I have been to many hotels , but this is proably the most crazy on , in the other hotels where also some ghost but they were not intresting."she handed the notebook "My ghost studies trough the years."she said proud

Your mom's a lot wiser than you are, sweetheart, Neil thought, though he kept that to himself. He didn't take her for the type to run to his manager if he didn't tone his attitude down, but you never knew.
"Oh, you'll hear ghosts here, alright," Neil said dryly.
She'd been to many hotels but had no idea one had to check in? He knew some people didn't pay too much attention, but this surprised him all the same.
He took the book she handed him and tilted his head a little as he quickly flipped through the pages, still calmly leaning against the doorpost. Good story. Nice and short. Not gonna do anything with this shit.
His face didn't betray his disinterest, however. Neil's customer service wasn't that bad. He was an asshole, not an idiot.
"Great stuff, dear," he said, giving her back the book. "You'll have ample time here to add to it. No need to rush it."
Lucia showed up right after that.
"Yo, Neil, no offense, but you gotta get your ass back to wo-" her tone suddenly changed upon seeing Iavre. "Goodmorning, miss," she said cheerily. "Hope you're enjoying your stay so far. I'm gonna have to steal my co-worker here for a moment."

“Don’t hold yourself in with your words.” She said after hearing the women cursing , she giggled a bit “Where are the most ghost in this hotel?” She said excited
