Roughly 50 years have passed since the events of the Garden War- The struggles of the people against the Sorceresses, the eventual final victory of SeeD and the peace that fell across the land.
The Gardens continued functioning as before- Mercenary training academies, three of them altogether- Trabia Garden is still being repaired, but it’s functioning once again and taking students as well. Despite the relative peace around the continents, SeeD soldiers were still in need- Smaller jobs than what they might have perhaps been used for in the past, but their presence was still appreciated, and the great work they had done in the past was still in the forefront of many’s minds. After the events of Final Fantasy 8 had transpired, the Gardens had grown immensely more popular, and enrollment numbers were higher than ever before- This is where your party comes in.
You are the newest inducted class to Balamb Garden- The Garden that hosted and trained many of the great heroes who had saved the world all-too recently.
The newest academy term starts, and the inductees are brought in, taught all of the tactics and abilities required to become stellar SeeD mercenaries. And as each night falls, the remnants of the Garden War weigh heavy on the hearts of those who survived it, looking to the stars in memory and relief at the world’s now calm nature.
But something about the moon just doesn’t quite look right anymore…
Hey, there! My name's Tailais- Or, 'Tails', if that's easier- And I head an RP group that's been running for a number of years now.
The group's grown and shrunk numerous times, people come and go, come back again, etc, of course, but we've tackled all kinds of different RPs in the past- Forum-based, Dialogue based, Tabletops, the works. (Hosting the RPs in IP's like Phoenix Wright, Fire Emblem, Persona 4 and 5, and Danganronpa's worlds in the past.)
We're looking to start something new- We've got roughly a group of 5 members from previous RP's looking to get something started with a new RP focusing on Balamb Garden and the Final Fantasy 8 universe, wherein our main party will be new students to the Garden.
The RP will feature tabletop combat segments in a homebrew Dungeons and Dragons style.
We're looking for two other players, three at most, to come tag along for the ride! Please feel free to message me and let me know what you think! This will likely be a rather long-term RP.
We like to focus on the character, story and relationship developments between characters in these RPs, so if you're up for that sort of thing, we'd love to hear from you.

Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (generation ships)
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
