Players aged 16+ are preferred. If you're a year or so younger than that and feel you're more mature than average, we can discuss things, but there will be extra limits set on RP to keep everyone comfortable regarding the age gap.
This is an adjustable-length paragraph RP. If you feel you can't maintain a pace of about a mid-sized paragraph minimum per post, this might not be for you. Also, expect long posts from me early on - don't feel obligated to keep up with them and don't expect them to persist throughout; it'd be mostly due to me setting the scene. So I wanted to do something with a sorta Deltarune feel to it without it actually being Deltarune. A fairly light-hearted yet underlyingly emotional adventure of cuteness in a land of monsters and silly antics. It's fairly open-ended in terms of plot and setting.
This is a 1x1 RP.
I'm looking for a partner with a normal character (don't have to be human, but definitely should be considered ordinary where they come from. Chances are, they won't be 'ordinary' by the standards of the denizens of the alternate world. I'd also rather they don't have their own innate powers or combat prowess at first, but could pick up applicable skills as the RP progresses from items, magical transference or awakening abilities). It would be preferable for that character to be fairly young to fit the cutesy adventure theme, though I won't make that a hard limit. An age of 10-16 would be preferred, though I'm not against 17-19 and might accept older (or younger) on certain circumstances. You can age down an older character (or age up a younger character) to fit this range if you prefer.
I figure I'd used Solas because I find him fun to play and haven't used him as much as I'd like. Yes, he is a species from an existing franchise (apart from species and background, he is still an OC). That doesn't mean anything else Final Fantasy related will be present in the RP (unless you want that). His default backstory also will not be used. On the plus side... he's a fluffy boy. And if all the Deltarune Ralsei fan art is anything to go by, everyone likes fluffy boys.
Because of the nature of the RP, there will be no romance, there will be a limit on gore/violence and I'd rather not have dark emotional themes involved (which means no suicidal characters please or any plot ideas that involve torturing your character or pushing your character over some dark emotional edge. This is a light-hearted RP).
Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.

I love the sound of this! The concept gives me Made in Abyss vibes. It looks like fun, and you seem very down to earth. I'm 16, and though I'm new to the RP scene, I get how it works so it wouldn't be much of a burden. Let me know if you're interested!

Sure, we can give it a shot. Drop me a private message, maybe with a bit of relevant background info for your character or any thoughts you have for where they might find a way into another world (i.e. if they find a portal in a closet or just go to bed one night and wake up somewhere else)... basically anything that can help with deciding on a starting point.
If this is still open PM me by all means ^-^ I usually have one or two decently sized paragraphs if not more. I can also play multiple characters
