Hi there! I have been RPing for well over a decade, and enjoy reading/writing in my spare time. I'm working on a book centered around an idea and I'm seeking a female RP partner to get a different perspective on things.
I've had a particular story idea but thus far haven't found a partner so I thought I'd try here. The role would require you to play two sisters, a younger naive girl and older protective sister who will discover they have latent magical abilities. I'm in the US (EST) and strongly prefer that you are as well for the sake of time differences.
I've always been fascinated with the idea of magic in the modern age. The world behind the world. I really enjoy playing characters who start off quite antisocial and end up warming up to the characters being played opposite him. A heart of stone turned to one of gold if that makes sense.
Anyway! On to my idea!
The year is 2019 and as you're well aware, technology reigns supreme. Imagination has been relegated to video games, socialization to likes and upvotes, deep thought to 120 character posts on a feed, and the smooth feeling of pages between fingers replaced with fingertips on glass screens. Magic has moved from being the norm to being something that exists only in Harry Potter films and daydreams. The more we've moved towards technology, the further we've moved from our roots and our connection to all that really is.
Kearan, a man who has lived so long he can't remember his age yet appears to be in his thirties, knows this all too well. He leaves his home filled with books, artifacts, crystals and trinkets to see people mindlessly shuffling along in their day to day lives with eyes glued to screens and senseless malice in the world. No one bothers to stop anymore and let a warm breeze tingle their skin or look up at the twinkling lights in the night sky with wonder at the worlds beyond. The deep blue of the night sky, the brilliant greenery of nature, and the warmth of the sun all replaced with pixels and fleeting, hollow experiences.
It's no wonder he'd become so withdrawn from everything.
Day in and day out, he stays to himself in his home or on the "Other Side" searching for knowledge, skill, and though he would never admit it, a connection. Someone to remind him why he used to travel the world instead of avoiding it.
Little did he know that was all about to change...
I have several locales and characters prepped for this story to keep it engaging and immersive. All I need now is a long term partner who is able to send lengthy, detailed, well written, and consistent replies. The girls could have seen him walking around discreetly using magic and decided to follow him, be runaways on a rainy night who saw him and decided to knock on his door... the possibilities are endless. I'm more than willing/capable to work around any twists you want to throw in.

Mundane? What's that? Magic permeates every part of the setting. Almost everyone has access to strong magic.
Modern
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
