Lyy stood at the precipice, the edge of a long pier attached to the largest city on the planet peering through her best friend, Yria, and into said city.
"Do not do this," Yria stated coldly, standing in the physical portrayal of the barrier she hoped to be, guarding the city from the incredibly powerful silver Voldarian, Lyy.
"I have no choice," Lyy responded, her eyes refocusing to take the wholeness of Yria's small frame in her sight.
"There is always a choice! You cannot change what has already happened, and killing everyone on this planet won't change anything!" Yria shouted, raising her hands up in front of her in preparation to draw her weapons.
"Actually....I can, and I won't be killing everyone, there is one person on this planet I need. The rest of them are simply deaths of necessity, please try to understand this Yria. When it's all over they won't have even existed," Lyy said emotionally, staring her friend down with a pointed look.
"Death is death, and I will not let you proceed with destroying an entire planet," Yria mouthed off, pulling her blade hilts from her wrist and powering them to emit the sharpness of their short bottom halves, and the jagged edge of the longer tops, "I will stop you!"
A light chuckle emitted from Lyy's lips and she took a single step forward towards the defensively stanced Yria. "No one can stop me, Yria," Lyy replied, raising her hand and taking aim at her. With a single bright flash, it was both over, and just beginning at the same time.
Your character is living on their own world, a relatively advanced world possibly capable of some space travel without the ability to get too far. Your character is doing....whatever it is they do in life, whatever it is they're good at or enjoy when it happens. An unexpected and devastating attack they were not ready for occurs, by a single individual floating high off the ground casting powerful blasts of energy into anything nearby. Nothing even slows her attack down, much less is able to stop it.
In the wake of the bodies and fleeing people is where you stand, the collapsed rubble and destruction of your advanced homeland around you. There is nothing you can do to stop the attack, but as the assailant fly's nearby, she takes notice of you, descending down into the devastation not far from your location. She reaches up her sleeve and pulls a small device out and points it in your direction. In a slow motion flash of bright light, a vortex appears, and despite your best efforts to escape, your strength is not enough to escape the pull of this device. After a few moments of being pulled backwards into it, you take one last look at your defeated homelands.......then you're gone. Not dead, but elsewhere.
For this rp I'm looking for an original character who Lyy needs to complete what work she is set out to do. Obviously your world is destroyed initially, and upon waking up, you find yourself alone, and while the landscaping of the world doesn't look terribly different, you can tell you are somewhere else. Your character will traverse the world, meet the locals, and try to discover not only where they are and what happened, but how they might get back home. In the process they are certain to discover just what Lyy was doing on your planet to begin with, and why she deemed it necessary to kill off everything you knew and loved.
The setting is going to be based on the race of the character brought to the rp, and even some of the story may be altered to suit the lore your own character is going to bring into the rp. That being said an original race to go along with your character is preferred. The world is something I will keep major control over due to the nature of your characters exploration into what has happened, that being said you may or may not see your own race there, as well as any other species that dwelled on your planet when the attack occurred. The more information I have about your character and species' the more accurate they will be portrayed. Certainly generic humans are welcome and this can occur on earth as well but the same rules will apply.
Please note - Lyy is a rare breed of an original race of mine, and there's a reason she is able to single handedly destroy your entire city. She is incredibly powerful and the sad truth for this rp is no character stronger (or even nearing her strength) can be accepted due to the nature of the rp. That being said she isn't going to be dominating the story, and in the occasions she does appear I assure you my own characters will be working with you to stop her as well. She may feel a little power playerish but that's the point of having her around, if you can't handle being defeated along side of me this might not be the right rp for you.
Characters and races with science fiction level abilities and features are definitely welcomed. Magic will be something allowable but I will want to discuss the perception of such a thing. Some included races will percieve it as a thing of science and attempt to justify it in some way. This doesn't mean they will have it correct, I just see those races as being more comfortable defining it in some way. That being said this will remain a low to mid range fantasy. Not everyone has magic and most that do can't do great and glorious things with it. I'm okay with your character standing out as one of the higher end of magic users, as this will help justify why Lyy needs them anyway. In fact I encourage it, though exact magic use is something I'll want to discuss before beginning.
Romance is a maybe, it really does have the setting for romance but it's not going to be the focus and likely not something I would actively pursue. If it's something you're going to be interested in eventually involving please inform me up front. Please note, some of my races are unlikely at best to engage in romantic activity with aliens due to the nature of their biology. Sexual content will not be written out and will not dominate the plot either, a tasteful FTB is something I am okay with but the focus should remain on the larger picture. I will not RP romance of any kind with a minor, no exceptions.
This roleplay is literate, I understand sometimes an apostrophe is missed and misspellings happen and I am all too familiar with the demonic wiles of autocorrect, and no I'm not a grammar Nazi either. That being said I do expect a sincere effort to be put in and a decently made post to be put forth.
Multi paragraph responses required. Not every moment in an rp is worth writing a book over, but in those moments you are certainly welcome to. Sometimes a single paragraph or two will be all one can manage and I understand that in context. Generally I am looking for a minimum of 3 paragraphs for general play, however.
Control of others characters is not permitted. I will not control yours and I ask you not to control mine either. As stated above much of the world your character will find themselves in will be under my control, that said not every single person will be. Notable figures I will retain for plot reasons but general NPC's and the like are open for anyone. If you're not sure feel free to ask, I'm rather responsive normally and consider myself easy to work with
I will ask for no power playing also. This is going to mostly be a team effort between one or more of my own characters and your own, with my own creations also being the enemy. Combat will certainly be involved here so I ask that you swing and wait for a response during combat. We can discuss options of lesser fights being resolved quicker as well. Please do not dodge every single attack thrown at you either, if it makes sense that it hits then it should hit, but if its up in the air make an informed decision. Blasting through an rp and taking down any enemies we encounter with great ease is a very fast way to lose my interest.
This is a 1x1 rp will occur in PM's with separate IC and OOC threads for ease of referencing and discussion. I welome OOC discussion if that's an interest for you but I certainly don't require it. Do communicate anything of importance to me in OOC chat though, whether it be something you think should be happening or something you're not comfortable with in the rp, even waning interest.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Further future, perhaps visit mars or upload your brain
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
