It just sort of showed up one day. A sizable bar made from mahogany wood, chiseled stone, and marble had shown up on the outskirts of town. People's interest was immediately captured. The drinks served were of surprising quality, the service was exceptionally fast, and the owner (while short she may be) was known for her unusual exotic beauty. While the place offered a very wide variety of drinks, the owner never allowed any one customer more than 3 drinks. She also refused to allow anyone to purchase a bulk supply of the drinks or take them home, with bouncers at the doors to check a person for any flasks, bottles, or other containers that might hold the owner's prized brews.
This however wasn't what caught some people's interests. It was the odd customers that would appear from nowhere and disappear when they exited the front doors. They had similar features to the owner and refused to talk to any of the customers who lived in the town, almost treating them as if they were little more than moving objects rather than actual living beings. Anytime someone attempts to interact with them, the person is completely ignored. No fights have been attempted however since the people all have a somewhat menacing aura about them at times.
Be it a primal curiosity, a desire to relieve some stress with alcohol, or just a need to try some new alcohol, you eventually find yourself in the bar and waiting for an available seat alongside other patrons. There are many of the odd customers already filling out most of the seats with a few residents of the town here and there. Your experience may be completely unique today compared to others. A kindly waitress gestures to you and indicates available seating at the end of a table populated by the 'Odd ones' as the locals have come to call them. What happens next is all up to you.
Well hello all you fellow residents of the repository! It's been a while since I last put up a prompt given that the last few attempts were failures. So I decided to try this one out for a change. As you have (hopefully) read, this roleplay involves an odd bar that just sort of shows up one day. This roleplay will include modern settings but also some high fantasy elements (and potentially an entire high fantasy world if the players seek it out) that will play an integral part of the plot. While I'd prefer that your character be a modern setting type, I wouldn't mind them being magical in some sense where they've integrated themselves into society and try to avoid entering the limelight. So long as your character can reasonably fit in to the modern world without having to use magic to some major degree for disguise, they should be fine.
Now for rules. Yes the rules because I said so and so that I don't have a repeat of a past incident.
1) No one liners:
I am very strict about this. One liners just do not jibe with me and it often will kill my motivation for a roleplay. I'm not expecting a novella or anything of the sort. Just a paragraph or two will be suitable. If you can write more then feel free, but if you feel like you'll struggle to keep pace with just a paragraph or two, then this roleplay may not be for you (unintentional rhyme scheme but I'll keep it.)
2) No god modding, meta gaming, or anything similar:
Pretty self explanatory (at least I hope). Characters that are overpowered for the sake of it are also a mood killer for me (yet another story in there that I might tell if you really want to know). Meta gaming is where you use OOC knowledge while in an IC setting. Don't do this and ruin the fun for us all! Keep your characters within reason when it comes to their abilities. If you want to use a very powerful character, then you had best have a good explanation as to how they'd fit into the plot or if you're willing to nerf their abilities for the purposes of this.
3) Gore and Swearing:
Gore will be kept relatively simple (unless called for in some cases but even then we'll avoid the logistics of the rate blood is pouring out of a wound to a man's ulnar artery or the exact dimensions of a gunshot wound). Swearing will be tolerated but only to a minor degree. A few words here and there are fine but please try and keep it from getting excessive.
4) Keep drama out of here:
This isn't going to be some place to argue about whatever. If you have beef(or venison, mutton, veal, fish, or poultry if one of those are your preference) please take it elsewhere. Resolve things peacefully so we don't get into fights. If you feel like someone might not be keeping up with everyone else or is ruining it for you in this, talk to them privately. I won't get involved unless I feel like it's affecting the roleplay as a whole (this is assuming that we get more than just a person or two for this).
5) Be nice:
It's basic etiquette. Be polite to your fellow repository residents and try to respect their boundaries. Also note that views expressed in the roleplay are not representative of the views of the creator of the character expressing such views (at least I hope so. That's the case with me anyway)
6) Have fun:
This is probably the most serious rule here. If you join this roleplay, you are under a legal obligation to have fun. Of course I'm joking but I do genuinely hope that any whom decide to join are going to enjoy this and have fun along the way.
Anyway if you've read this far for whatever reason and you're still interested, then please don't hesitate to shoot me a message or reply here! I keep a close eye on both parts (although work will often get in the way because, you know, it's work). Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.

Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
