The Realm for the longest time had been peaceful. The Four kingdoms of Ettus, Trieg, Verdur, and Oren lived benevolently within their borders, permitting safe travel to and from each, and ensuring prosperity within the land. That all changed recently however. The Royal Families and Nobles had become increasingly more blood thirsty and expansionist, until all out war broke out between all four of them. Now the Realm is being bloodied with cruelty and greed, and you might be next to be conscripted to their armies if something is not soon done.
However, the sudden change into blood lust has brought many to wonder. Why the sudden change in diplomacy? Those who ask publicly, are executed. For how dare they question the motives of those with Divine Right! Though, the more perceptive bunches have noticed a stranger, claiming to be a diplomat, traveling between kingdoms freely and safely, only to convene with the Royal Families... Perhaps he has something to do with this?
Something strange is going on here... and you intend to find out and put a stop to this before its too late.

Delve into a medieval conspiracy and bring such matters to light and justice in Awoken Giants! You play as one of a few who have noticed the correlation between such a diplomat and the recent on goings. So you and a few other fellows take it upon yourself to find out what exactly is going on. Having been called to a secret meeting in the basement of a tavern to discuss plans and issues, this is where the adventure begins...

- This shall be a group RP.
- Shorter, faster posts are favorable over longer posts. TIMELINE & SETTING:
- The current time is about early renaissance era. Primitive guns are in use, but prove to be clunky to use and/or fiddly or unreliable, as such armor and shields and whatnot still remain in wide usage.
- Magic is often treated with suspicion or fear, and users of it might be shunned or mistreated.
- Such a setting is mainly inhabited by humans, with more humanoid races or far off folk coming mainly from outside the mountain ranges of the wooded valley which the Realm resides in. The Realm itself is heavily wooded, cold, and rocky.
CHARACTERS & ROLES:
This setting is mainly looking for concerned or conspiring individuals from all walks of life. Perhaps a peasant who is scared of becoming conscripted into a flesh grinder, only to be dragged into something far deeper. Or perhaps a noble defector or traitor who plans on trying to stop the war, only to be soon found out later and go into hiding at their home kingdom? Or perhaps a measly hermit of some kind or traveler put off by such rapid change in the minds of the royal families, aiming to find out how this all started? Of course, the more magic endowed individuals are also allowed to take part in such a thing, however be mindful what connotations come with using magic of any sort...

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.

There isn't necessarily a limitation towards magic, but I don't expect it to be mile-wide earth bending or some stuff like that. What do you have in mind?

Its been a while since I’ve done stuff on this site so I’m super curious. I have a character named Dan. Just a quick thing to see if your interested, he is a ranger that does small jobs around the kingdom. He is a normal human other then the fact that he has antlers. 100% interested, sounds like an amazing setup. Are there any places where magic users aren’t frowned upon, though? I only have one character that could work for this setting, and a necessary part of her background is haven been to a magic “school.” (Actually closer to a convent but whatever.) I could probably either build a new character or alter some of her background, but I’m not really sure about my rp skill when I’m trying to quickly build up or remodel someone.
This sounds like it'd be great fun! I think this character, Maren, would fit in pretty well to try to help put an end to the bloodshed. She's a unicorn, but for this RP she could be solely in her human form in order to blend in.
