"No, but we have nearly every ship in local space still searching. It doesn't make sense, no leftover emissions, no debris, no indication they were anywhere at all....we've searched the entire area twice now and still we have found no trace as to what could have happened to them."
"An entire starship cannot simply disappear!"

"What are we going to tell the nations of the foreign races aboard that ship? That we simply lost the ship with all of their people on it?!?"

It was the strangest affair that the Voldarian Empire had made the decision to allow a kind of work study/crew exchange program with one or more varying nations they were friendly with. Not everyone agreed with the idea, but the Empire believed it would not only facilitate better understanding for these nation for their own ways, but better understanding of these other cultures too.
In addition, trade would almost certainly be born from some aspect of it....someone would undoubtedly see something they liked and want to try reproducing it.
The Yyre was the ship that was decided to host these guests, each of which were bright minds in their own field among their own race, and were assigned to the leading officer in that field for the duration of their visit (these fields will be listed below).
It was destined to be a wonderful experience for the entire sector, each race learning more about the seemingly xenophobic alien Voldarian Empire and their technology, and they too learning more about their neighbors and what technologies they had to offer.
....that was until the Yyre....simply dissapeared. With no trace of destruction or its mere presence....it was just gone....
What I am looking for in this rp is a character (or possibly characters) who excel in particular fields of starship operations. Fields available for this ship include:
Pilot/Navigator
Engineer
Weapons Operation
Doctor
Scientist
Security
Whichever character you want to bring will have to meet a few racial quotas. This is largely due to this rp occurring in my own created universe and your planet will be just added onto the side.....not to worry, much of this won't come into play a whole lot after the intro is over

Your character doesnt have to be the same race as the government they hail from by the way, but they do need to be bound to their laws and have been operating in their field with that nation for some time.
Beyond that, this rp will take place with said characters aboard the Yyre, having found themselves somewhere else (somehow). The rp will include what happens aboard the ship when the disappearance occurs, as well as how (or if) they survive that experience with the intent on returning back to their previous 'location'.
If they survive? Yes....if. Character death is a very real thing for this rp. I'm not saying your characters will be hunted down with the intent to be killed, but if they make senseless decisions that lead them to a place they are likely going to die, then I'm unwilling to hand wave and they likely will die. Don't worry, you're not alone....I can say for absolute certainty not all of my characters are going to survive this rp...in fact they all might die
Multiple characters are acceptable, though not necessary. If you choose to bring more than one and they are of different nations, then each nation will have to meet the qualifications above.
Concerning characters, guest characters who's number and races will be determined prior to the start of the rp are open for anyone to control. I probably wouldn't mind if you claimed one at some point for exclusive personal control even, but all characters who are of my own original races will remain under my own control.
This story has a semi-linear opening, with a predetermined idea of what has happened to the ship and the situation they find themselves in. How your character(s) respond and deal with the situation will determine not only where the story leads, what ends up happening, but also may help decide which crew members (yours or mine) live or die. I'm very excited to see what a potential partner of mine might do or include that would change things! Ideas for this rp after the intro are also welcome
Depending on the results the initial idea accumulates, I may post a few other ideas as to how other players characters end up on the Yyre. I already have a few thought up but would like to try this setup first.
Now for personal rules
This will be a multi paragraph rp. 3 paragraphs + on average is what I'm looking for. Sometimes shorter posts I understand are necessary though, and I won't get upset seeing them. I do like detail and though process in posts and decent spelling/grammar. Still, I am pretty understanding about autocorrect or that mistakes happen. (No one liner or concise posts)
I will not control your characters, so please do not control mine. If you feel theres a grey area or want to speed up a post by consulting if someone would walk with your character etc simply ask, as I'll do for you.
Sexual content will not be included in the rp, if two of your characters head that way then you can send them into crew quarters and FTB. I'd be okay with my own characters doing this but I don't forsee a lot of my own characters having romantic interests (some due to culture others are biologically incapable). That said while I would be willing to proceed with romance in this setting personally, its doubtful it will happen. If you're planning to try though, let me know.
Characters with back stories are much preferred. I like to see my partners characters information ahead of time to at least some point to get an idea of who they are and how they will fit into the rp.
This will be a 1x1 rp occurring in PMS with separate pms for IC and OOC....please post only in the appropriate PM for IC or OOC.

- have good relations with the Voldarian Empire
- exist in a weaker nation than the Voldarian Empire (it can have more colonized planets, but technological advancement and fleet size will need to be managed. Ask for more information on this if you're interested)
- be willing to make a crew exchange with the Voldarian Empire (Voldarians will be boarding one of your races ships too, it just won't be very present in this rp)

Still looking on this one. As a note the human race would work also seeing as they are alien from a Voldarian perspective.
