I am planning by Saturday, starting an RP based on That Time I was reincarnated as a slime. I am actually looking for 3 more players (As I am still fairly new to the GMing thing, and do not want to overtax myself) I already have a spot reserved for on hence 3 instead of 4. I would like to get the character building out of the way. You will start off as a human with 3 common skills, and one extra skill. Here is why I am trying to get the characters started early. Basically you post what skills you would like, and I will inform you if I think they are too powerful, or nurfed.
Some examples of Common skills are Body Armor, Enhanced Strength, Poison Breath, Thought Communication esc.
Some examples of Extra Skills are Self Regeneration, Super Speed, Shadow Step esc.
Now as far as unique skills go when you get skills that can combine to make a unique skill I will inform you that your skills have combined into a new skill. For example Say you had body armor, and enhanced strength you may get the unique skill Steel muscles - Your unarmed attacks are as hard as steel. You can punch through wood, and stone with little discomfort. Combine that with Super speed you get Battering Ram- You can run through any physical barrier that is softer than you.
Now that I got all this out I do want to say, my RP will not be a jumbled mess like this post.

Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
Romance 50%
Romance is desired but not required, and will balance evenly with other plot.

Details: Occasional dice use, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred. Will be played with a small group of players.

Sorry I should have clarified. You are a human from our world transported to this fantasy world. Known as world Travelers. If you do not want to play that is understandable. (Though you could change your species through requested ability.) For example flight, and spiritual body, and magic could easily turn you into a fey.
Edit* the three listed would be common skills. Fast learner would be an extra skill.

Ok I can use Tyler as an example.
Tyler was out for a stroll when he was overcome with a falling sensation. Everything around him turns blue, and he hears a voice. "Confirmation: You desire more strength. Common skill granted: enhanced strength. You desire to be more attuned to your surroundings Common Skill Granted: Enhanced sensed. You desire to use your bones as weapons Common Skill Granted: Bone manipulation. NOTE: Enhanced Strength, and Bone manipulation combined into a new Extra skill. Undead Form granted. You desire to travel through shadows. Extra Skill granted Shadow Step. Note Shadow step combined with Extra skill undead form creating a new unique skill Shade form.
So your updated Character sheet would now read

Alrighty, I didn't make things very clear when I first posted this so let me make things as clear as possible.

This is a game based on That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime. This will be a fantasy game. Your role is that of a human from our world. You ether through summoning, or happenstance have come to this new world. Upon entering this world you are granted powers known as skills. You will be granted three common skills, and one extra skill. These skills can combine to create new extra, or even unique skills. As far as skills go post what you would like to have, and I will inform you if I think these are too over, or under powered.
Originally I had intended all players entering this world would remain human, however I figured that this would be limiting to many people who just like to play other races. That being said if you want to play as a specific race you can do one of two things. Burn your extra skill to specifically chose that race, or pm me, and we can discuss what race you would like to play. On the reverse if you want to remain human, and I give you and extra skill race, you can simply decline, and remain human.

Basic info for the world:
To humans Names are mundane things. Just a way for you to specify who you want to talk to, or are talking about. However to a monster Names are vastly more meaningful. To be given a name is a tremendous honor, and it increases your power. The stronger the one who named you is the stronger you become. Likewise if you were to name a monster they would grow in power, and consider you akin to a parent. That being said you cannot force a name upon an unwilling party. For example you are fighting someone, and decide "I will name them, and make them my ally." They will decline your name.
The factor of names would give monster races a huge advantage for it not for the fact that humans can form pacts with greater spirits. This involves a spirit indwelling you, and increases your power, in addition to granting you magic of that element. Being human is also advantageous as you can go into all human settlements without fear of being accosted.
There will be very little dice rolling unless you are going against another player, or find yourself in a situation that really makes it a necessity. It is very possible that some of you may never even have to roll, it is just intended to be a relaxed fun game where you can meet people, and monster. make friends, and enemies. There may be possibilities of "bad ends" but only if you play foolishly, and there will be many warnings before hand. For example if the succubus asks if you want to be her toy, and the other people around you say "Yeah, no... She will lock you up in her dungeon and you will never see the light of day again.", and she nods agreeably, and you still yeet yourself into her arms maybe you kind of deserve it.

Finally if you don't like how your character turned out, feel free to tell me your character would like to retire. We can build a new character that you enjoy more. However once in retirement your character can not be brought back. So you can not rescue your Gunther form the succubus' dungeon with little Timmy. Gunther chose his fate, and you can not stand up against her, and her army. If there are any questions please do pm me.

Ok, I like your skill set. They actually work together really well. I am currently at work, and have to type little by little so I apologize for the grammar, and formatting errors.

(Going with Umbri for now)
Umbri is walking down the street on a moonlit night. She becomes aware that someone is following her. Her pace picks up as he follows her turn for turn. "Hey lady!" He calls. She takes a turn down an alley. Something responded to her desperate need to escape. Everything around you starts becoming blue. The last thing you see is him rounding the corner holding something... is that your phone?! "You dropped this..." he says out of breath, but he looks up to see the alley empty as you are overcome with a falling sensation.
You desire to have a lithe body. Common skill granted Slight Frame - Functions as enhanced dexterity. You also desire for others to view you more positively. Common skill granted Innocent Charm - grants you a gentle aura when interacting with others giving you an advantage when trying to barter, or make friends. Next you would like to be able to have advantage investing common skill granted Guidance- when you are trying to find something, follow a trail, or investigate a scene clues, and tracks will have a faint blue glow.
Note: common skill Guidance, slight frame combine into extra skill Hand hold- when climbing, or jumping from point to point the safest route, and objects capable of holding your weight glow blue. Further Guidance, and innocent charm combine into two new extra skills. First extra skill guided conversation- you can use this ability to auto pilot through a conversation for the best outcome. Second extra skill sense motive- allows you to know how a person or monster feels toward you, also lets you know when someone is trying to take advantage of you.
Finally you desire the pursuit of knowledge, an admirable goal extra skill granted quick learner- you can learn skills that you can observe.
Note: Guidance and quick learner combined into a unique skill. Scholar. You can learn skills from studying them via books, tomes, or stone carvings.

Hm, I am going to have to limit you a bit there. I will say changing materials is high level alchemy, and thus would be too strong to start with. Ultimate skill level. Shaping materials we will call that Transmutation, and I will consider that on the upper end of common skills so that is a green light. Regeneration, and skill learning (equivalent of quick learning) will both be extra skills. For deathstoke/deadpool character build would be something like this.
