With great awesomeness comes great responsibility. With every new feature, upgrade, or change to the site, there comes with it a risk that bugs will sneak in as well. All these major updates at once means that the risk is enormous. That's why I need you to help me hunt down anything that may have gone wrong so we can get the site working perfectly down to the smallest detail!
For the next two weeks, every bug report that leads to something being fixed will be rewarded with a special event-only accolade to display proudly on your user profile. It doesn't matter if the bug was just introduced, or has been lurking around for years - if you report it and it gets addressed, you can earn one of these accolades.
These gorgeous phoenix coins are the first animated accolades we've ever made available to be earned! After this two week bounty hunting event, we'll be back to the regular old accolades, and these shining coins will never be available again.
Want to earn a phoenix coin (or five) for your profile? Follow these simple guidelines!
Bug Bounty Hunt Rules & Guidelines
- Any report made that leads to a site improvement in the next 13 days (until February 7th) is eligible for a phoenix coin accolade.
- "Site improvements" might be helping me to find and fix a bug (something that isn't working correctly), but it might be something else!
- If you report something that is confusing or difficult to understand, but not necessarily "broken", you might still win an accolade, depending on the quality of the report
- Sometimes even reporting typos or broken links can earn an accolade!
- Accolades can only be won if reported via the bug report form. If sent through comments, private messages, on the forums, or via semaphore, you won't get an award. PLEASE, use the bug report form! In the top navigation, go to "Help", and then select "Report a Problem" from the dropdown. Or use this link.
- Bug reports must contain a thorough description of the situation. Please don't write and say "it won't let me..." or "I can't..." and then nothing else. If the problem occurred on a specific page, link me to that page. If it occurred in a specific group, tell me which one. Let me know if you were on a mobile phone or a desktop computer. Let me know what browser you were using at the time. The more details you can provide, the better chance I have to find the problem and fix it.
- Accolades are awarded when the problem is fixed. If you submit a report within the time period but it doesn't get fixed until after the event is over, don't worry! You'll still be given the event accolade.

Go forth and test everything there is to be tested! With help from all of you, we'll have all the kinks ironed out in no time.
