At long last, the reboot of an RP less than 20 people know has occurred!
I made a group where characters are captured and forced to fight. Here's the description:
"WELCOME, EVERYONE, TO THE NUMBER ONE FIGHTING SHOW IN THE UNIVERSE: THE GRAND ARENA!!!" The announcer's voice thunders through the crowd, as you face off against your opponent. All you can think is how this battle could be your last.
Welcome to the Grand Arena, I guess, where people are regularly captured and brought here to fight.
There's the Main Arena, where battles are held, as people from around the universe sit and watch in suspense. Sometimes people die. New people are captured when that happens.
Then there's the Training Arena, where the fighters go to train. To make things run smoothly, each fighter has a designated time to train. They don't have to train if they don't want to.
There's also the holding areas, where new fighters are kept until they're ready to be integrated into the system or if they have no dorms. They also have their abilities blocked. Magic, too. If they have tech, it's confiscated.
Then, you've got the dorms, where fighters are allowed to go if they've fought a lot of fights. Food, furniture, utilities, etc. is better and more high quality there than in the holding areas, and it's much more luxurious.
Fights are held often, with up to 5 being held a day. All of them are recorded and occasionally shown on TV.
As you can tell, this RP is mainly about fighting, but does have opportunities for characters to chat, train, or even try plotting an escape..
Any character can join.
Hopefully people are interested in this, unlike my other RP groups!

Neither of them have a proper profile yet, but I'm between Juniper and Dusty
Juniper's young, but just spent the prior year learning how to fight and suppressing all her emotions. She's determined not to show any weakness, but is still a big nice softie inside - she's actually a good person. She's used to being able to walk on walls and ceilings, so might be a bit disoriented while fighting. She's more tough than skillful.
Dusty's really tall and definitely not human. Her natural state's stronger than an average individual (would that be blocked?) but her monster form's definitely blocked. She's just genuinely a really terrible untrustworthy person who enjoys messing people and doesn't care what happens to anyone else.
So it sorta depends what you're looking for? Juniper's a bit more of a common character, but definitely easier to establish a good relationship with, right? Dusty's more fun but would probably make a better enemy to anyone smart.
