Spreading the light!

GOODNESS GRACIOUS! What an incredible flurry of support and good wishes we've seen over the past few days!

Since the opening bells of FOBETEO sounded, you have given each other almost 700 kudos.
That number alone is impressive, but when you take a moment to consider what it really represents, it will take your breath away. Kind words have the power to lift a person up. To change how they see themselves. To change how they feel about the world around them. Kind words can give a person renewed strength and hope just when they need it most. They cost us so little to give, but they can mean the world to the people around us.
All week, I've been seeing messages like these pop up all over the RP Repository:

"THANK YOU FOR THE KUDOS! I almost started crying because of how sweet it was! My boyfriend was sitting next to me and he was really confused why I got so emotional because of a forum site XD [...] When I tell people about RPR I tell them how it helped me and changed my life.. It made me feel less lonely and most of the time they don't understand how a site could do that but this one did! This site has helped me in ways no one or anything has ever helped me!"
"I had been thinking about something and it got me down, so then I looked at RPR and read your kudos. Cheered me up just as I needed it :)"
"My, this is my first FOBETEO, and already I see so much love from the community..."
"I was having an absolutely horrible day, I felt drained and just plain awful. Then I saw Sanne's really kind words about what a great RPer and storyteller I am. I actually teared up because it was one of the few 'nice' things to happen to me in weeks."

Those 700 kudos are 700 little changes in the trajectory of someone's life. That is what you're truly doing during the Festival Of Being Excellent To Each Other.

I've also heard from some of you privately that you've been utilizing some of the friendship mending tips already published this week, and have seen improvements in existing friendships, or been reunited with old friends. If this is you, please let me congratulate you (and your friend), not just on your better friendship, but on the impressive courage and understanding you both showed in having those conversations.

I could not be more proud of this community, and we're not even done yet! There's several more days of FOBETEO to keep spreading the good cheer, and a few more helpful articles, a RP prompt, and more on the way.

This is my first FOBETEO event! I found today really hopeless as I just couldn't get in the sway of things, and I felt like I was getting left behind. It just got good when I got close with my friends again, and even better after I read Sanne's kudos! :D

I really enjoyed giving out kudos and I can't wait for another love-giving event!

This is sweet. I should make my presence more known, before I get some kudos my way.

How long will the event last again? Thinking up on 'just the right words' for each person takes some time, and I'm afraid I'm going to run out~ (well, one never runs out of time for kudos, but this is a special time)

I'm so glad my words were featured in this, and I do mean what I said: I feel so much love and joy in the community here!

I do need to be more active to give and get Kudos, but I love how easy it is to jump right in whenever I like!

We gotta give credit where credit is due. Its almost been a year since i joined so the kudos shows who has shapped me as an rper.

I just joined this site the other day and I can already tell it is AMAZING! Especially with all the kind and refreshing Kudos that honestly will help make my and others days when were upset or in a bad mood! I can tell a bunch of work was put into this site and I respect that! You have a new comer and I'm not leaving no time soon!

It is wonderful!

Shame. I need to make myself a bit more known to get some Kudos! This is fun, though!
