All right. So, dark fantasy... Each of you said they would delve into a darker side of themselves. This most likely means that both of you hold a lot of locked in aggression or bitterness on how the world is today. Not to get into specifics, but there is no question that the age of today isn't what it was 35 years ago, nor 20, or even 5. But. The good news is, this has been happening for decades. The progress of the world and it's downfall has been accelerating for multiple reasons. The differences between countries, for instance, their beliefs. The clashing of one taboo against a miracle. Or the sacred rite of sacrifice weighed against the value of a soul. You get my meaning, I'm sure. This world has so many different views, opinions, theories. And we are all mixed in this batch of madness, expected to get along and sing the same songs. But this isn't reality. Reality is dark, gritty. It bleeds. We may be able to see the silver lining, or even a glint of light at the end of a tunnel, but none of us truly know what's going on here. Nor what is going to happen next. But again, this isn't new. This world would not be recognizable to those born 100 years ago. And this is, incredibly, exactly what the world wants. They want us to conform. To adapt. To adjust. And to snuggle down in our woolen sheep skin beds as happy as can be. But us here, as writers, as thinkers, as dreamers, we can use this platform, use our voice, our intelligence, our understanding, to surpass the normalcy and be the fresh air the world so desperately needs. We can't change the entire world. But we can influence a reader. Or readers. We can change one mind at a time, encourage people to break the mold, and express what truly needs to come to the surface.
Writing is a therapeutic process that allows us to imagine the unseen, experience the unfelt, and dream new dreams. Our thoughts are not meant to bounce like a ball over and over in our heads. They're meant to be shared. By mouth or pen or type. Only humans have this ability, this gift of writing, comprehension, of sharing a handful of words as precious as gemstones to a drowning mind.
Whatever your darkness, release it. No one else can dream your dreams, or feel what you feel. This is a place to play racket ball; to practice your thoughts, to witness the cause and effect of your choices, even if imaginary. We create stories. Lives. Emotions. And all of these are so important this day and age. Never stop writing. Even if it's just writing down your own name. Never forget what you believe in. And what you deem worth remembering.
Hey chat. How we all doing?
My rides over an hour late to pick me up from school, so I'm pretty worried.
Oh dear. Are you able to text or call your ride? Or ask someone else to bring you home?
My mom is old and still relies a landline, and I have no contact with anyone else who can get me home.
However, I found out there was just something that caused the roads to be closed down for a while. Shes coming.
That's a relief. I'm glad she's on her way and you'll be able to get home safely.
Update: going home and got some hot cheetos and monster to make me feel better :3

Can't be as bad as what happened in the town I pretty mucb grew up.

As far as I understand, a kid was hit by a train on Wednesday morning. Yeah...not good for anyone.
God, That's just messed up... Did the kid survive at least?

No, he was DOA. They're doing an investigation as of right now to figure out what happened.
I figured as much...
My theory is that the kid was wearing headphones and didn't hear the train coming on his way to school. That's the "best" case scenario, and well, my thoughts go out to all involved.
Anyways, to lighten the mood...
We've begun work on our next music video! We want something easier after the last one took us like eight months, so we're only using one image for it and likely only adding limited edits.

We initially commissioned the art in late August... ^^;
What a playful little scene. It reminds me of the Galactic Railroad
By the way, sorry to anyone if I came off too strongly with my "rant" about writing and role playing. I am just passionate about it, and having had no place to write (in an online "public setting") for so long, all that has been riding around with me for some time. I appreciate anyone who gave it a read. But I will me more... ah... self contained, moving forward.
Nah, It's all good.

The only thing is, yes it's public, but aaallll that ranting, well at the end of the month, aaallll is deleted. So if you want to rant publicly about RPing, look over the RP Discussion thread and, well, copy paste it there. <G>
See even the event of Jooters getting some delicious hot Cheetos because he had to wait (I'd wait for those too), will be gone first of April (and that's NO April Fool)

Gosh Lizbeth you're making it all worse...

I read your 'rant', though I didn't take it as a 'rant'. Unleashing the fingers on a keyboard is quite therapeutic! As Lizbeth said, it's all one-month temporary here in the 'talkin' thread. If you used your 'rant' as a start to a topic labeled say, 'My thoughts on writing ad roleplaying' or such in the RP discussion forum, it'd be discussed and immortalized here on RPR for years to come. I love it when people 'wax intellectual' about role playing and writing! :)
I enjoyed it thoroughly :) I’ve nearly taken to ranting here too, but nobody wants to hear about politics or the world rn 😂 I’m just happy y’all get it
