Our world was once an urban manufacturing powerhouse. Then interstellar war broke out. Families fled, adults were drafted and those who were left were wiped out when the war's front reached the planet. It was us orphans who were left as the sole survivors - more or less - gathering into gangs for safety and squabbling over the left over scraps as indifferent robots try their best to keep the cities standing. Some revel in their newfound freedom. Others struggle to get by. But there remains hope that somewhere out there, means for escape await those lucky enough to find it...

So this idea kinda takes inspiration from multiple sources. Lord of the Flies, Kids Next Door, Splatoon, Fallout, Stray etc. It's a setting where the vast majority of survivors are children, having to scavenge to survive, fighting over territory and such. Lethality is rare in conflicts, with most disagreements being in the form of brawls, toy gun fights (water guns, paint guns, BB guns, stun guns etc) and competitions.
The setting is a Coruscant-esque city that has fallen into disrepair after an invasion, with most of the action taking place in the lower levels, with all sorts of danger around, because the upper levels have mostly been looted by soldiers who have since moved on. Robots still operate and perform their pre-programmed duties, household models even forming societies of their own, generally living unchallenged by the children on account of different needs (and the potential for trade and shelter).
Kiro here is a 12-year-old free agent trying to get by and generally doing a good job of it thanks to his innate agility, martial arts training and hacking skills. I'm looking for another kid character around his age to get into trouble with and maybe even find a way off-world (perhaps even into an interstellar society that is in even worse of a state). Any sci-fi species fitting the setting is permissible.
There won't be any romance for a multitude of reasons.
On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (faster than light)
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
No romance at all will be included in this plot, period.
