Aiko looked at Grace, she had managed to get his attention. He nidded, "yes.." he said, "I just, don't know what to say.." he said. He always seemed so quiet around either of his parents for the most part..not even he knew why..

"You know, I don't think we ever told your mother how we met. Did we?" Grace mentioned. She didn't remembered having done it yet.

Aiko shook his head. He didn't believe they had.

"Well why don't you tell her?" Grace suggested, trying to get her husband to talk to his mother.

Aiko grew silent a moment, looking at Grace, then looked down thoughtfully, Remembering how he and Grace had met, of that he could forget one of the better moments in his life. They had met at an Auction. He looked at his mom, and began storytelling.

"After spending about 2 years in a temporary home, where a man let me live, the auction that happened every 2 months happened. People were bought from people, and sent to do whatever that person wanted them to do. I had spent two years there, and nobody ever bidded on me, that was until Grace came along. People bidded various prices, $221, $330, $451, $565, $566, then Grace bidded $700.." he said. "I was sold, and honestly was a little scared of being sold to somebody who was fully human, seeing when I lived on the streets... things never turned out well if my cat details showed. But even once she found out my secret, she didn't freak, she wasent scared of me, and she didn't hurt me over it.." he said, remembering it how he did.


Jamie seemed surprised by this. Her son, abused on the streets, sold at an auction, and everything else.

Grace remained quiet while he told his story, then began to tell her own. "Aiko has saved my life plenty of times, from keeping me from being sold on the black market to being stabbed by my grandmother and the man she wanted me to marry. After spending time with him, I realized how much I loved him and we were soon married." She summarized.

Aiko looked at Grace when she began to speak, as did Jamie.

After she concluded her story, Aiko kissed Grace on the cheek lightly, then pulled back slowly, back to his he was before that. "I'm still willing to save her from any bad situation, because I love her " he concluded. It seemed now he was more talkative.

Jamie sniffed, if one had to guess, she might of had a teary look in her eyes. That was a beautiful story.

Grace smiled and kissed her husband back, then sat back on the couch.

Aiko smiled at Grace.

Jamie looked down a moment, before unclipping a necklace that hung around her neck, then she held it out to Grace, "take this" she said. It was a necklace with a real Sapphire charm on it, hanging by a super necklace chain. "Before I had Aiko, my mom told me to give this to his wife when he was older, and married" she said. It must be real special.

Grace looked at the necklace and she began to get tears in her eyes. "This is beautiful. It looks very precious too. Are you sure you want to give this to me?"

Jamie looked down at the necklace, a small, soft smile on her face, and she nodded. "Take it" she said.

Grace took the necklace and put it around her neck. "Thank you very much." Grace smiled with happy tears in her eyes.

"Your very welcome" Jamie said looking at Grace. Aiko looked at the necklace around Graces neck. It looked pretty, and pretty on her,

Grace looked at the necklace and then at her husband. "What do you think, aiko?"

"Pretty" Aiko said looking at Grace. It only took one word to express his opinion,

Grace leaned over and kissed him again. "Thank you."

He blushed a little when she kissed him, "your welcome" he said. "It's true.."

Grace nodded in agreement. "I wonder what the children are doing?"

"Probably just playing" Aiko said. And playing they were.

Grace heard a bit of a commotion from upstairs. "They are." She said.
