How they would appear to the character upon seeing them; appearance, bearing, maybe signs of their occupation.
Reference images are always useful.
Plot hooks and prompts. I always like encountering suggestions on how to approach a character, or settings and locations where they might be found that makes selecting a character to interact with them easier.
